To celebrate the film Annie (currently in theaters), Target simultaneously launched an Annie for Target girls clothing line.
The clothes themselves are cute enough, but the ads for the collection have sparked controversy among some consumers for mainly depicting white models.
A Change.org (see it HERE) petition has been started by L'Sean Rinique urging Target to remedy this by including more African-American models in the ads and issuing an apology to the film's star Quvenzhané Wallis, and has already garnered several hundred signatures from supporters.
The petition in part states:

The mega corporation is taking a stand with other BIG companies by adding their name to a legal defense for gay marriage in hopes of overturning Wisconsin and Indiana's same-sex marriage bans.
Along with Apple, Intel, and Starbucks, Target has signed a court brief that is fighting for marriage equality!
Target's Vice President of Human Resources, Jodee Kozlak, declared:

The guys from 5 Seconds of Summer took a very hands-on approach to helping out their album sales, and we all got a good giggle in the process!
They dressed up as Target employees, and tried to get customers to buy their album, with their main demographic being “middle aged men,” according to them. Ha!
And believe it or not, that was the only age range who figured out who they were!
