Here's to the fools who dream…

Like this Phoenix high school student who wants Emma Stone to be his prom date!

With the help of his somewhat enthusiastic friends, Jacob Staudenmair recreated the opening scene from La La Land to extend an invitation to the Oscar winner.

Singing his own version of the film's musical opening Another Day of Sun, the 17-year-old danced and sang through his high school parking lot, attempting to woo Stone with a night she'll never forget — which includes dining at local favorites like Olive Garden.

If suburban eateries weren't enough to seal the deal, the smitten student didn't forget to mention his vague resemblance to Ryan Gosling.

It may seem like a longshot, but the 28-year-old actress IS from neighboring Scottsdale. So, maybe Phoenix will become a City of Stars for one fateful night…

Police across the country are currently searching for Elizabeth Thomas (above, insert) and her former teacher Tad Cummins (above) — who authorities believe kidnapped the Tennessee teen earlier this month.

As the hunt continues for the 50-year-old man and the 15-year-old girl, investigators have found new evidence shedding light on their relationship — emails that show the pair's "romantic interest in each other."
