In his application to the parole board, he writes that he has "used the public spotlight to speak openly about the mistakes [he] made as a teenager so that others do not make those same mistakes."

That being said, it's easy to see why a lot of people are saying he's using his position as a celeb to wipe his record clean.

But during the New York premiere of The Gambler on Wednesday, the actor claimed that's not the case at all!

This whole situation is just so tragic and awful. Now, it's just plain eerie.

We previously mentioned rapper Earl Hayes killed his wife Stephanie Moseley and then himself in a tragic murder-suicide.

What's even crazier is Floyd Mayweather Jr. witnessed it all via Facetime.

The saddest and most uncanny part of this story, though, is that Earl rapped about murder-suicide back in 2010. Seriously.

The lyrics from his track Suicide (off his mixtape The First 48, which is also a murder reference) read:

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is no stranger to violence, but this is something no one should have to deal with.

The boxer was reportedly on FaceTime with rapper Earl Hayes when Hayes said he was going to kill his wife Stephanie Moseley for cheating on him.

Reportedly, Floyd saw the gun and pleaded with his friend not to do anything, but it didn't work.

The boxer admitted that he was a witness but isn't saying how much he saw. But it's being reported that he's now having a very hard time, and may even be in shock.

Such a sad situation.

Celebs die in a supposed murder-suicide

This is horrible!

Stephanie Moseley, from Hit the Floor, and her boyfriend, rapper Earl Hayes, have died in what police are saying was a murder-suicide.

Hayes, a member of Floyd Mayweather's Money Team, was at an apartment complex near The Grove in Los Angeles, along with Moseley, when gunshots were heard.

The SWAT team arrived, knocked the door down, and found the two of them shot to death.

Residents said a woman was screaming, but it's not clear who did what. It's being reported that Hayes, who was also a backup dancer for Chris Brown, was heard accusing the actress of cheating on him prior to the incident.

We'll keep you updated with any news on this tragic situation.

mark wahlberg reserve cop pardon

Mark Wahlberg has portrayed a cop in several of his blockbuster hits. But has his research influenced him to become one in real life?!

In a situation where art imitates life, the Boston actor apparently wants to pardon his 1988 assault conviction — where he physically attacked two men and allegedly voiced racial slurs at them — in order to become a reserve officer.

The only problem is that becoming a reservist would require him to possibly use a firearm and convicted felons are, reasonably so, not allowed to handle dangerous weapons.

Mark Wahlberg is trying to get off from this scot-free!

Back in 1988, the actor was a troubled 16-year-old living in Dorchester, MA, when he attacked a man with a wooden stick while trying to steal two cases of alcohol from a convenience store.

He also punched another man in the face while running away from the police.

Both men he attacked were Asian and it was reported that Mark also used racial slurs against them.

This whole incident resulted in assault and other charges against him — the Transformers actor also served 45 days in jail since he was tried as an adult.

Well now, Marky Mark is seeking a pardon for his past injunctions because
