Late Night Sounds Off On Donald Trump's Inability To Condemn White Supremacists After Charlottesville Rally — 'Ignoring It Is Just As Bad As Supporting It'

What a horrible weekend.

On Monday night, late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert all criticized Donald Trump for taking TWO days to condemn the KKK, neo-nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups (by name) following the violence in Charlottesville on Saturday.

In a serious monologue on The Tonight Show, Fallon (who typically remains pretty neutral) said:

"The fact that it took the president two days to come out and clearly denounce racists and white supremacists is shameful … And I think he finally spoke out because people everywhere stood up and said something."

He went on:

"It's important for everyone, especially white people in this country, to speak out against this. Ignoring it is just as bad as supporting it … We all need to stand against what is wrong, acknowledge that racism exists and stand up for what is right and civil and kind. We cannot do this. We can't go backward. We can't go backward."

Preach.

Kimmel, Meyers, and Colbert took it even a step further by proving how easy it is to denounce white supremacists… something our President failed to immediately do after the events in Virginia.

More details continue to come to light surrounding the Charlottesville attack over the weekend.

James Alex Fields Jr., the 20-year-old Ohio man who deliberately rammed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer, was denied bail today and is set to appear back in court on August 25.

Here's what we know about his violent past so far.

According to TMZ, police records show several phone calls to the cops from 2010 and 2011 after Fields threatened his own mother, Samantha Bloom.

When he was just 13 and 14 years old, Fields was arrested and detained for spitting in his wheelchair-bound mom's face before intimidating her with a 12-inch knife.

Another time, Fields attacked Bloom by hitting her in the head and covering her mouth after she asked him to stop playing video games. So scary.

We are still in shock from this weekend's horrific white nationalist demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia.

To catch you up, graphic video was released of a Dodge Challenger car deliberately driving into protesters at a peaceful anti-racist rally — killing and injuring dozens of people. One of the victims was 32-year-old Heather Heyer.

Heyer was attending the counter-protest with two of her friends, Marissa Blair and Marcus Martin, who fortunately (but narrowly) survived the attack.

In fact, Blair was a split second away from being hit by 20-year-old James Fields Jr. before Martin pushed her out of the way.

This photo (below) shows the moment Martin was plowed over by the vehicle after saving Blair's life:
