This is just sad whichever way you look at it.

A couple from Mont Clare, Pennsylvania made a suicide pact back in December that left only one of the pair dead — and the other charged with their murder.

Anthony Noble, 27, and Joette Mullen, 27, had agreed to kill themselves by cocaine overdoses right outside of Philadelphia on December 14, but only the latter actually OD'd.

Apparently, once Anthony gave his girlfriend her lethal dosage, he became scared and chose to live… but it was too late for Joette.

The young woman's body was found inside a parked car.

The preliminary hearing begins January 29; prosecutors are charging Noble with Mullen's death as he knowingly injected her with the cocaine that killed her.

So sad. But we have to ask…

Do YOU think he should be charged with murder?

Lawrence Phillips' Mother & Lawyers Say Note Found In The Jailed NFL Star's Suicide Does NOT Match His Handwriting!

His family will conduct an independent investigation.

This is an interesting development.

As we previously reported, Lawrence Phillips was found dead in his jail cell from an apparent suicide. However, the ex-NFL star's mother, Juanita, and defense attorneys are saying that a note found in the scandalized sports star's shoe does not match his handwriting.

The late athlete — who had been accused of killing his cellmate while serving a 31-year sentence — had written multiple letters to his mother and lawyers, and they're saying the penmanship is not the same.

One of the football player's legal reps, Clayton Campbell, told USA Today that the note "said, and this to the best of my recollection, 'Did you hear the one about the football player who hung himself from the TV mount in his cell?' And where it said football player, it looked like somebody after the fact put the letter 'X' before 'football,' so it said 'X-football player.'"

His other lawyer, Jesse Whitten, described the other side of the note, saying:

Ugh, what a horrifying situation.

Just four days after Don McLean was arrested for domestic abuse against his wife Patrisha McLean, news of an order of protection against the singer has surfaced.

In a statement to the Knox County court in Maine, Patrisha requested an order of protection against Don for horrific abuse that has been ongoing for "10 years or so". The scary situation reached its peak on Monday with a four-hour episode of violence.

Mrs. Mclean stated:

"He pressed the palms of his hands against my temples and squeezed as though my head were in a vice. My husband has a violent temper. For the first 10 years or so, his rage was unfathomably deep and very scary."

While the judge granted the requested, Don released a statement defending himself just hours later:

"I'm not a villain. What is occurring is the very painful breakdown of an almost 30 year relationship."
