Adult film actress Jessica Jaymes has passed away at only 40 years old on Tuesday.
[Editor’s Note: Conflicting reports place Jaymes’ age at 43.]
According to reporting from The Blast and TMZ, Jaymes’ ex-husband went to check on her at her home in the San Fernando Valley after not having heard from her in a few days. He found Jessica unconscious and unresponsive and immediately called 911.

Emergency medical services confirmed they received a call about a suspected cardiac arrest and arrived it was already too late; they pronounced the entertainer dead on the scene.
The cause of death is still unknown, but it’s been reported Jaymes suffered from seizures. TMZ reports authorities found various prescription drugs, but frankly that’s true of everyone, isn’t it?
The L.A. County Coroner’s Office has opened an investigation and will have to perform an autopsy before we know for sure.
According to TMZ, Jaymes — born Jessica Michael Redding in Anchorage, Alaska — came up with her porn name by combining her real first name with the first name of her then boyfriend.
Before she began her career in the adult entertainment industry, Redding had been a teacher of fourth through sixth graders for three years. She got her start in softcore porn in 2002 then signed with Hustler in 2004. Shortly after she costarred in a porn parody film called The Porn Identity.
She went on to appear in over 230 films, eventually starting her own studio called Spizoo. In 2008 she was named as a Penthouse Pet. In 2018 she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
Outside of the adult industry, Jaymes also appeared on The Howard Stern Show and in reality shows like VH1’s Celebrity Rehab Sober House and HBO’s Vivid Valley. She also appeared in a couple episodes of the Showtime series Weeds.
Jessica is far from the first celeb to die way too young in 2019. Whether due to tragic accidents or cruel natural causes it seems so many are being taken before their time…
