Hot damn!!

So You Think You Can Dance is gearing up for its twelfth season and the FOX reality show is already making a splash with these latest announcements!

Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo will be joining judge Nigel Lythgoe on the reality show as the new season's judges, and everyone seems excited!

Here's what Niger Lythgoe said:

"With the new and exciting format comes a new and exciting panel of judges. Paula is an incredible artist and she brings the perfect combination of expertise and heart to the panel. Jason's insight, humor and creativity will add a new perspective to the panel that we haven't had before."

So true!

The news comes after the recent news that judge Mary Murphy would be leaving the show. We guess the producers didn't want to wait when it came to her replacements!

ONE reason??

We could probably give you one thousand, nine hundred, eighty nine reasons Taylor Swift won 2014!

As in 1989, her album that sold better than any other this year and was part of a VERY exclusive club of platinum records this year!

Taylor also made Hot 100 history by being the first woman ever to dethrone HERSELF on the top of the charts as Blank Space replaced Shake It Off as number one!

The poppiness of 1989 marked a sea change for Swifty as she stepped up from being a crossover country star to a full-fledged pop idol.

Taylor also wasn't afraid to step into new roles like the New York Tourism Board's Global Welcome Ambassador!

She also put her reputation on the line fighting for artists' rights in a controversial battle with streaming service Spotify.

That may be why she was named Billboard's Woman Of The Year!

And throughout it all, her style was one point, even when she was channeling characters from children's literature!

Yep, there are TONS of reasons Taylor won 2014. But we're just going to go with this one:

12-year-old Ronin Shimizu of Folsom, California, ended his own life after enduring years of bullying.

Before he was recently enrolled as a home student with Folsom Cordova Community Charter School, Ronin went to Folsom Middle School and was reportedly the only boy on the cheer team.

Apparently, Ronin had been bullied since elementary school, and, according to messages posted on his Instagram, he was further picked on for being a cheerleader.

The school has stated that it had investigated each instance of bullying, and responded with "appropriate action for each instance," claims a school district spokesperson.

A candlelight vigil was held near the Shimizu home on Thursday.

Our hearts go out to the Shimizu family and all of Ronin's loved ones during this tough time.

We hope bullying becomes a thing of the past, so that needless deaths like this one never happen again.

one of the accused 12 year old girls ruled unfit to stand in slender man trial

We can't say we're too surprised by this decision.

One of the 12-year-old girls accused of stabbing her peer 19 times in order to please a fictional character named Slender Man was supposed to begin her trial for her actions this week, but a mental health evaluation performed by a forensic psychologist has put the trial on hold.
