X Factor's Drew Ryniewicz Has A Lovely Voice…But Is She A Star???

Filed under: TV NewsMusic MinutePerezTVJustin BieberX Factor

We've been following 14-year-old Drew Ryniewicz for a while now, and our feelings about her have pretty much stayed the same.

When we first saw her perform Justin Bieber's Baby, we liked her voice…but we just weren't sure if she seemed like a star.

Then, she auditioned for the judges at bootcamp, which actually impressed us more than the Bieber performance.

Now, after hearing her cover of Roxette's It Must Have Been Love at the Judges' House (above), we still maintain that she has a lovely voice…but we're still not sure that she's a star.

If she were truly confident, wouldn't she stand up during her performance?

She's definitely got potential…but she needs a lot of work.

What do U think? Is Drew a star???

Michele Bachmann: Not All American-Born Babies Are Equal!

Michele Bachmann Republican Conservative Tea Party Political Hypocrisy

Here we go again — another thoughtless clusterf*@k from the mind of Michelle Bachmann!

Are we surprised though? Somehow, yes.

The Sarah Palin wannabe has told Southerners she wants to pass legislation against those born on US soil if they're born to illegal immigrants.

So even though it goes against the 14th amendment, and even though conservatives bash liberals when they want to make changes as they preach constitutional conservancy, Michele's going for it anyways.

As she hates on "anchor babies," she says:

This kid is REALLY good!

Check out the video (above) of 14-year-old Jack Vidgen wowing the judges on Australia's Got Talent 2011 with his performance of Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing.

We think he did a great job, and we have a feeling he's gonna get better as time goes on.

Keep it up, Jack! We're impressed!

What did U think of Jack Vidgen's performance? Could he become the Australian version of Justin Bieber?

WTF Scalia?

wtf antonin scalia

You've got to be kidding us, Scalia!

According to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, equal protection under the 14th Amendment does not protect against discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation.

Here's an excerpt from an interview between Scalia and California Lawyer Magazine:

"In 1868, when the 39th Congress was debating and ultimately proposing the 14th Amendment, I don't think anybody would have thought that equal protection applied to sex discrimination, or certainly not to sexual orientation. So does that mean that we've gone off in error by applying the 14th Amendment to both?"

"Yes, yes. Sorry, to tell you that. … But, you know, if indeed the current society has come to different views, that's fine. You do not need the Constitution to reflect the wishes of the current society. Certainly the Constitution does not require discrimination on the basis of sex. The only issue is whether it prohibits it. It doesn't. Nobody ever thought that that's what it meant. Nobody ever voted for that. If the current society wants to outlaw discrimination by sex, hey we have things called legislatures, and they enact things called laws. You don't need a constitution to keep things up-to-date. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box. You don't like the death penalty anymore, that's fine. You want a right to abortion? There's nothing in the Constitution about that. But that doesn't mean you cannot prohibit it. Persuade your fellow citizens it's a good idea and pass a law. That's what democracy is all about. It's not about nine superannuated judges who have been there too long, imposing these demands on society for that.

If the current society wants to outlaw discrimination by sex, hey we have things called legislatures, and they enact things called laws. You don't need a constitution to keep things up-to-date."

We find it really troubling that all of this is coming from a current Supreme Court Justice.

He's retiring soon, right?
