OMG! Such good news!
Bill Pullman is going to be president again!
There is arguably NO better fictional movie president than Pullman's interpretation of Commander and Chief in the 1997 blockbuster Independence Day and NBC remembers that.
The actor has been cast as President Dale Gilchrist in the NBC comedy pilot 1600 Penn, which was co-created by actor Josh Gad and stars Brittany Snow as the First Daughter.
In the upcoming show, Pullman once again plays a president whose wife is murdered by invading aliens, which forces him to hop in a fighter jet and blow those ugly E.T.'s right back to where they came from.
Okay, you called our bluff. That was just wishful thinking!
Although we sOoOo wish that were true, he'll just be playing a father who is not only the head of a dysfunctional family, but the entire country as well.
Those are all the details we have about the show for now, but in the meantime, enjoy one of the greatest moments in movie history (above)!
