Looks like part 3 of the Paranormal franchise is shaping up nicely!
Back in January, we heard that Disturbia writer Christopher B. Landon was signed on to write Paranormal Activity 3…BUT then he contacted us and said that nothing was confirmed yet.
Now it looks like Landon has been officially attached to write the script, and the film has also signed on Catfish's Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman to direct.
According to reports, the story for PA 3 revolves around "a family being terrorized by the entity from the first two movies in the 1980s."
As we said in January, let's hope that this movie is written with the same care as the first two, and then kept as a trilogy. It would be a shame to see this franchise jump the proverbial shark, like the Saw series.
Are U excited for Paranormal Activity 3? Do U think the Catfish guys are right for the project?

Cue the Oak Ridge Boys!
In September, the evil 80s icon known as Elvira will be coming back to the airwaves with a new TV showcase show.
The new series is tentatively called Elvira's Movie Macabre and will feature 26 two hour horror films, hosted by Miz 1988 herself. The show will be distributed in syndication by Trifecta Entertainment, who is all but THRILLED to have been able to snag the Mistress of the Dark for their show. The CEO of Trifecta explained:
"Elvira will be every bit as relevant as the first day she burst onto the scene; a beautiful opinionated woman who always delivers just what her audience expects from her. At Trifecta, we take pride in bringing proven and trusted brands to the syndicated marketplace; Elvira is a time-tested and wildly successful brand unto herself and her new show perfectly exemplifies our strategy."
Uh-huh. Okay. You sure you didn't just hire her because we are in a recession, she is kitschy and she comes on the cheap?
Cause that's what we're thinking!
Well, welcome back, Elvira. Lucky for you, poofy hair is back in again! You should have Snooki on your show to thank her!
