Good news, Bed Bath & Beyond! People will need to buy towels once again, because they're not going to be able to steal them from hotel rooms anymore.
While it hasn't become a massive trend yet, hotels are starting to install electronic chips on their towels and linens in an effort to
keep from them getting stolen by guests keep track of their inventory.
As far as the towels are concerned, they cost approximately $1 more than regular towels, but we SUPPOSE it's worth it if it means that they won't go missing.
The only downside - these towels and linens are dirty because the electronic chips can't be washed…
JK! They can absolutely be washed! Sounds like a
creepy, 1984-like inneresting new piece of technology to us!
What do U think about this new security method?
