CoverGirl just got a little bit sportier!

The cosmetics company is celebrating the 2012 London Olympics by tapping boxer Marlen Esparza and beach volleyball player Jennifer Kessy to promote two new limited edition products: LashBlast Volume Mascara and Outlast All-Day Lipcolor.

Kessy is BEYOND excited and says that being picked to represent the brand is a dream come true:

"[When asked to be a CoverGirl, I] thought I was being punked. I remembered all the times I stared at the ads in the magazines, and remembered that CoverGirl always writes the names of the models in their ads. I couldn’t believe my name was going to be next to my picture in a magazine. Best feeling ever!”

Wow, talented and humble!

Esparza added:

“I feel that I embody the image of CoverGirl and that anyone can be beautiful, and is deserving of beauty no matter what your personal situation is"

Congrats ladies!!! We can't wait to see your full campaign when it rolls out this May!

Stella McCartney had the honor of unveiling the Team GB uniforms for the 2012 London Olympics on Thursday.

For the collaboration with Adidas, Stella was inspired by the iconic image of the Union Jack flag.

She explained:

"I know I'm biased, but it really is one of the most iconic flags. I was also aware of the fact that it's something that might be overused in the build-up to the Olympics, in taxis, on cushions and mugs, so I wanted to do something different with it - but that was still respectful of its beauty. Actually, the colours of the Union Jack are similar to a lot of other flags and the athletes really wanted to feel identifiable as Team GB, so I just used different colours to say the same thing."

Two years in the making, the long awaited collection features sequined variations, covered leotards, and printed versions for T-shirts and jackets.

Nicely done.

Stella McCartney isn't the only designer dressing athletes for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

It was recently announced Giorgio Armani will design all the uniforms being worn by Italian athletes competing in London next summer.

King Giorgio is scheduled to hold a press conference on Wednesday to discuss the project and probably show off his fancy designs.

Now that the World Cup has ended, it's time to move on to the next global sporting event: the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Adidas has announced that Stella McCartney will be designing the uniforms worn by British Olympians at the games that will be held in London come 2012.

Stella already designs a women's line of clothing for the sporty company, so the pairing shouldn't come as a complete surprise.

Adidas added the British designer will also design 4 separate collections that will be released within the next two years as part of their joint campaign.

McCartney, who is currently expecting baby #4, said of her new gig "As a British fashion designer, it is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be creative director of Team GB as the hosting nation of the London 2012 Olympic Games."
