AMAZING!

This was certainly a tough category at this year's Tony Awards, so we're delighted to announce that it was Arthur Miller's Death of A Salesman, beating out Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Master Class, and Wit!

Scott Rudin gave an absolutely charming and touching acceptance speech on behalf of the cast and crew, including Mike Nichols, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Andrew Garfield!

Such a great show, and glad to see the original work honored so beautifully as it was this year!

Seriously, talk about the third time being the charm!

The cast of Book of Mormon, who won the Award of Best Music at the 2011 Tony Awards, were on hand to kick off the 2012 ceremony with Ricky Martin, Matthew Broderick, and ultimately host Neil Patrick Harris, who then segued into a one-man show of AWESOME with guest appearances from Patti LuPone and Amanda Seyfried!

Another first win this evening, alongside a record-breaking SIXth!

While a lot of the focus of the 2012 Tony Awards goes to the actors for their performances and their respected nominated pieces, the accolade for Best Direction of a Musical went to first-timer John Tiffany for his gorgeous work on Once!

However, right after, Mike Nichols won his sixth award for Best Direction of a Play for his equally brilliant work on the revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman!

Amazing amazing!
