You win some, you lose some!

Michael Phelps may be getting most of the attention when it comes to swimming at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but it's actually his strongest competitor that just went viral.

As you may have seen, America's favorite gold medalist lost the 100m Butterfly Final in Rio on Friday night to 21-year-old Joseph Schooling of Singapore.

However, as if beating the best swimmer in the history of the sport wasn't an accomplishment in itself, Joe got the Twitter seal of approval over the weekend when a former Tinder match of his made his account go viral!

Apparently, 20-year-old Sabryna Salazar matched with Joseph back in April, but after exchanging a single message, promptly forgot about the ripped hottie.

Unfortunately for Sabryna, she quickly remembered him when she saw that he had won gold, lamenting on Twitter:

Homophobic Journalist Kicked Out Of Rio After The Olympics Officially Condemn The Daily Beast's Grindr Report!

Serves him right!

As we previously reported, The Daily Beast seriously crossed a line last week when it published a report on sexual activity at the 2016 Summer Olympics, effectively outing a number of gay athletes in the process.

While Nico Hines didn't use any names in his story on Grindr usage in Rio de Janeiro's Olympic Village, the straight journalist did provide sports and nations for many closeted competitors… including countries that lack gay rights!

The Daily Beast initially responded to readers' complaints by simply removing any identifying information from the dating app article before eventually taking it down — but it turns out that wasn't good enough for the International Olympic Committee!

In fact, the IOC actually spoke out against the "simply unacceptable" homophobic report in an emailed statement to OutSports on Sunday, suggesting that Nico has been removed from the Games entirely, saying:

We sure hope this doesn't force her to go solo

For the very first time in their history, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team will not be receiving a medal at the Summer Olympics following their historic loss to Team Sweden Friday afternoon.

Not only was this the first match to end in penalty kicks in the history of the Games, but the USWNT had never failed to make it to the finals since the tournament was founded in 1996 — let alone get eliminated in the quarter finals!

Naturally, feared revered goalie Hope Solo was just a tad pissed about the surprise loss, and she really let her Swedish opponents have it in an interview with Sports Illustrated following the game.

Never one to be a sore loser, Hope referred to the winners as "a bunch of cowards," before getting even meaner, saying:

Simone Manuel's Historic Gold Medal Swim Wasn't Impressive Enough To Get Her NAME In This Newspaper?? Wait Until You See The Ridiculous Headline…

no title

It's getting to the point where coverage of the Olympics is causing more issues than the Games themselves…

As you probably heard, history was made Thursday night when Simone Manuel became the first black woman to ever win a gold medal in swimming at the Olympics.

However, sports fans in San Jose might not have woken up to that news Friday morning — because local paper Mercury News completely failed to include the 20-year-old's name in their headline!

But as if not giving sufficient credit to Simone for her iconic performance was bad enough, the newspaper did touch upon her feat… only they referred to her simply as the "African-American."

Oh, but wait. It gets worse!

Michael Phelps just so happened to also add some more medals to his impressive trophy case the same night, so the paper decided to run the beyond offensive headline:

She just made history herstory!

When it comes to swimming in the 2016 Summer Olympics, most Americans have kept their attention focused on Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, and Katie Ledecky.

However, Team USA just got a little brighter thanks to Simone Manuel's gold medal in the 100m freestyle in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday night!

But as if winning first place in a final wasn't impressive enough, the 20-year-old just became the first black woman to ever win a gold medal in Olympic swimming!

Simone tied with Canada's Penny Oleksiak with the Olympic Record of 52.70 — only the second tie in the history of the sport at the Games — which will pair nicely with the silver medal she won earlier in the week in the 4×100m freestyle relay alongside Katie, Abbey Weitzeil, and Dana Vollmer.

Way to slay, Simone!

Ch-ch-check out her race AND her emotional medal ceremony (below)!

Straight Journalist Uses Grindr To Out Gay Olympic Athletes In Rio — Subjecting Them To Life-Threatening Consequences

no title

Who could possibly think this was a good idea?!

While the 2016 Summer Olympic games have already had their fair share of controversy in the first week, none of the scandals have really had potentially deadly repercussions… until now, that is.

That's because a reporter for The Daily Beast decided it would be a good idea to download Grindr and write a story about all the people who contacted him on the dating app in the Olympic Village on Wednesday.

Oh yeah… and the journalist, Nico Hines, just so happens to be straight!

Apparently, the website — which claims to love confronting "bullies, bigots, and hypocrites" — didn't see the harm in listing closeted LGBT athletes' chosen sports and corresponding countries, including one nation that is heavily anti-gay!

What's worse is that Editor-in-Chief John Avlon actually addressed readers' concerns by removing the names of countries after the fact… but decided to keep the majority of the post intact.

Luckily, out celebs like Gus Kenworthy, Tyler Oakley, and other individuals with common sense condemned the homophobic piece, saying:
