Talk about star power! Let's see any Hollywood couple pull this off!

In just a few short weeks, Los Angeles will be honored with the royal presence of Prince William and Kate Middleton as they will be in the area to attend BAFTA's inaugural Brits to Watch gala. The black-tie affair extend invitations only to the head honchos of studios, networks and talent agencies, with a $25,000 price tag. According to one of the organizers, the event is now “essentially sold out!"

Apparently, studios like Universal, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Disney all jumped at the opportunity to rub elbows with the royal pair and some even went as far as purchasing two tables!

Well, we know one thing for sure. The 42 talented British youngins being honored that evening should be VERY grateful to their future King and Queen. They've essentially helped put them on the radar of every major studio in town!

Seth MacFarlane To Reboot The Flintstones!

seth-macfarlane-to-reboot-the-flintstones

Oh man!

If this follows the path of any of his other shows, then we better prepare ourselves for a very different version of this classic than with what we grew up!

Seth MacFarlane has reportedly finalized a deal with 20th Century Fox TV and Warner Brothers Television to reboot The Flintstones as both a TV and film property!

Apparently, this has been the Family Guy creator's dream project, and it took YEARS for the negotiations between the studio bigwigs to reach their conclusion, as the rightholders to the sitcom were extremely concerned with how he'd re-interpret the series!

No word yet on when Fred, Wilma, and the gang will make their 21st Century debut, but expect it to be on Fox!

Unbelievable!

We're not going to lie, we think that if anyone can revamp the show and its brand of comedy, without making it tired and cheesy, it's him!

We're just scared of what that will mean!

LOLz!

Congratulations, Seth! Or should we say Yabba-Dabba-Do?!

What do U think?? Are U excited for Seth MacFarlane's take on The Flintstones?

Google Gets Doodled, Pays Tribute To Late Author/Illustrator Roger Hargreaves

How adorable!

Check out the doodles (above, and below) by Google of Roger Hargreaves' characters, in commemoration of the late English author/illustrator's 76th birthday.

Such a nice way to pay tribute to the man, while celebrating his Mr. Men books, which have been a positive influence on childrens' lives for many, many years!

Looks like Hargreaves' presence isn't going anywhere either, as 20th Century Fox's animation department currently has a project in the works which MAY feature his "Little Miss" characters.

We love this! Way to go, Google! We'll DEF be making lots of searches today just to see those CUTE doodles!

Avatar Sequels To Be Made In Manhattan…Beach

avatar sequels to be made in manhattan beach

Did you get excited there for a moment, New Yorkers? Ha!

Last we heard about Avatar 2, Michelle Rodriguez was talking about the next film being set underwater.

Now, we're hearing that James Cameron and 20th Century Fox will be working on motion capture photography and high-tech production of the Avatar sequels out of a Manhattan Beach facility.

The studio is MASSIVE at 580,000 sq ft with 15 soundstages!

Here's what entertainment office specialist Jim Jacobsen of Industry Partners had to say about the new space:

“Given the two different requirements — needing soundstages like he had before and office space, and the fact that the Hercules Campus has started demolition, it’d make sense he’d be interested in a studio operation like Manhattan Beach Studios. 90,000 square feet of space on the Westside is very difficult to put together.”

Very cool.

Sounds like it will be exciting times in Manhattan Beach pret-ty soon!

Ben Stiller Signs On To The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty!

ben-stiller-in-the-secret-life-of-walter-mitty

Finally! This project has been floating around for YEARS!

Ben Stiller is officially in talks with 20th Century Fox to take on the title role in the long-awaited, still-in development reboot of the 1947 film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty!

A kid-friendly, PG tale about a perpetual daydreamer, the flick has attracted stars like Jim Carrey, Owen Wilson, and Will Ferrell and directors like Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard, but ultimately never came to fruition due to issues with the screenplay. However, writer Steve Conrad apparently hit the nail on the head with a fresh take on the material, which immediately attracted Stiller's attention and motivated him to sign onto the project!

Excellent! Hopefully all of this hard work and effort to make it perfect will pay off, and we'll get an awesome new movie on our hands!
