Ex 3 Doors Down Bassist Sentenced To Jail For Causing Fatal Accident While Driving Under The Influence
After a four-hour hearing on Friday, former 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was given a two-year prison sentence for convictions related to a fatal crash on April 19, 2013.
He also faces a six year probation period after his sentence.
To catch you up, Harrell clipped a truck with his car speeding over 100 mph in Nashville, Tennessee, causing the other man's vehicle to strike a guardrail and flip over in an embankment. The driver — Paul Shoulders, Jr. — was not wearing a seatbelt, and was pronounced dead at the hospital soon after. Police found alprazolam and oxycodone in Harrell's system that night and 36 other pills in his sock.
