7th Heaven's Stephen Collins' Divorce Trial Began Today!

Stephen Collins' divorce to Faye Grant is finally in court.

The contentious couple first separated in February 2012 after Stephen confessed to molesting underage girls, a revelation which understandably destroyed their marriage of 27 years.

Now, after six years of battling it out in the public eye, the pair were scheduled to begin their divorce case TODAY.

The trial should mainly focus on money and the $13,000 a month spousal support Grant is seeking from Collins. The former 7th Heaven actor plans to contest the request now that the molestation scandal has rendered his potential for future work slim to none.

While we're glad this situation has finally come to a head, we don't think there will be any clear winner in this case. Both parties seem to be very heated and we're sure the trial will be EXTREMELY ugly.

We feel for the judge who has to take on this case!

After all the controversy Stephen Collins has faced, he and his estranged wife Faye Grant have decided to put their two matching property homes in Brentwood up for sale.

The 7th Heaven actor and his wife listed their houses at an astounding $5.5 million for both homes or $2.85 million for one that totals to 2,756 square feet while the other is being sold at $2.7 million for 2,583 square feet.

The larger, more expensive home is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom with a two-story guesthouse that sits on more than a quarter-acre of land.

While the slightly smaller home is a one-story house that also has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The only difference is this home opens up directly into a lagoon-swimming pool style backyard.

This move to sell their matching homes isn't too surprising since

7th Heaven Dad Stephen Collins Complains About Money Problems, Says He Can't Find Work After Molestation Confession

Stephen Collins has not been having a good month.

Ever since the audio recording of his confession to ex-wife Faye Grant that he had exposed himself to underage girls and molested at least one became public, things have gotten tough.

Not only have 7th Heaven reruns stopped playing pretty much across the entire TV dial, but he's also (not surprisingly) finding it difficult to find another acting job!

Stephen Collins confessed to child molestation. And he may get away with it.

We already know there is slim to no chance the 7th Heaven star will be prosecuted, based on how long ago the crimes were committed.

But the legal statute of limitations isn't the only thing saving Collins. The case may be too long ago for the victims as well.

Stephen Collins Isn't Being Prosecuted Even After He Admitted To Molesting & Exposing Himself To Minors

This is a twist we didn't expect!

7th Heaven's Stephen Collins admitted to molesting and/or exposing his bits to three underage girls, but he won't have to deal with the legal consequences.

Law enforcement sources revealed that the actor won't be prosecuted because all three of the cases are from decades ago! They even looked into one that was closed two years ago, but it was still too old, because of the statute of limitations.

However, in the New York case, the statute may not have run out, since the victim reported it in 2012. The catch is that
