UPDATE 3:25 P.M. EST: John Cantu's attorney, Sam Park, revealed that the website developer has NOT hit Aaron Carter with a lawsuit, but is actually currently weighing his options.
As for now, his webdesign is up for sale or license… if the terms are agreeable to him. Additionally, both parties have been in contact, but no word on how their situation is being resolved.
Yikes. Aaron Carter's money troubles don't seem to be going away anytime soon.
You might remember the 28-year-old opened up about being "over $100k" in debt on the reality TV show Life Or Debt, and now, the singer has been hit with a new lawsuit.
According to TMZ, John Cantu was hired by Aaron to design his music marketing page, but was refused a paycheck back in June. Despite spending months working on it, the musician fired back saying John was only an intern.
Now, the "intern" is demanding $50K from the Fool's Gold artist for having to maintain the site for several months, citing he never learned anything from Nick Carter's younger bro, and can't be considered an intern.
What's not made clear is what sort of agreement the two had when John started working on the page.
The situation has only gotten uglier from there, as John crashed Aaron's site, even instructing fans to "follow a genius" and included his own Twitter handle.
