Barbra Streisand's Gypsy Is Finally Being Made! DEETS HERE!

We are so glad this is happening!

On Monday, Barbra Streisand's long-planned musical — Gypsy — is being produced by STX Entertainment after being put into turnaround at Universal!

In case you aren't familiar, the project is a screen adaptation of the classic 1959 musical by Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim, and Arthur Laurents.

Gypsy — based on the 1957 memoir of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee centers around Mama Rose — played by the legendary actress herself — and her two young daughters, Baby June and Louise, who try to become stars!

Streisand is writing the adaptation with Richard LaGravanese, and is producing with Joel Silver through his company, Silver Pictures. Barry Levinson will direct.

Get ready to be entertained!

Idris Elba Will Face Matthew McConaughey In The Most EPIC Stephen King Adaptation Ever! Get The New Deets On The Dark Tower Movie!

Stephen King fans have been blessed (and cursed) with dozens of film adaptations of his work over the years.

But after many attempts, the author's long-running book series The Dark Tower will finally see life on the big screen!

The eight novel sci-fi/fantasy series, which King regards as one of his magnum opus, follows a gunslinger on his quest to find a fabled Dark Tower — but things get WAY complicated, as he meets many of King's other characters from different worlds along the way.

And it looks like this film already boasts quite the cast — Idris Elba has finally been confirmed to be playing the hero Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey is playing the mysterious Man in Black!

King admitted he is "a little bit surprised" that the film is finally in production, as the first novel in the series was published way back in 1982! Speaking to EW, he said:

And even though Rooney Mara has "a lot to say" about the lack of minority representation in Hollywood, she doesn't want her opinions to be reduced "to a sound bite."

In an interview with The Telegraph, the Carol actress opened up about her own experience with whitewashing — this time, a bit more candidly than she has in the past!

Johnny Depp Will Star In The Remake Of The Invisible Man!

On Tuesday, Universal Pictures announced that Johnny Depp will star in the remake of The Invisible Man!

In case you aren't familiar, the original 1933 film was an adaptation of the legendary H.G. Wells novel about a scientist who discovers a way to become invisible.

This project is part of Universal's plan to re-establish its famous monster characters. They already have Tom Cruise starring in the remake of The Mummy, which is slated for a June 9, 2017 release.

Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan will produce, while Ed Solomon will write the script. No director has been announced.

Executives Jon Mone and Jay Polidoro will oversee the project.

This is going to be such a good film!

Olivia Wilde Would Totally Play A Marvel Superhero — But Only If She Could Be As 'Complex' & 'Flawed' As The Men!

We couldn't think of a better actress to take on this task!

After Olivia Wilde recently starred in the drama Meadowland, some fans on social media suggested that she team up with the flick's female director, Reed Morano, for the planned adaptation of Captain Marvel.

We're not sure she's our pick for Carol Danvers, but we'd LOVE to see Olivia take on a superhero role!
