Mischa Barton Apologizes For Her Tasteless Police Brutality Bikini Post

This doesn't make her initial post any better, but at least she owned up to it…

Mischa Barton has been getting the worst kind of attention this week after she posted a tasteless, tacky photo showing her "solidarity" with those killed by police officers in light of the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

Barton, as you remember, posted a message about two black men being gunned down by police officers in suspicious circumstances accompanied by a photo of herself in a bikini while aboard a yacht, pretty much proving her out-of-touch attitude and defining privilege.

Barton immediately deleted that initial post, but the Internet always finds a way to remember — and the wrath of social media came down hard on her almost immediately for her out-of-touch message.

Thankfully, now she's proving to be receptive and sensitive, publicly apologizing for the post and her actions in regards to the two shootings.

Very early Friday morning, Barton posted a string of messages to her Twitter account (below) about the Sterling and Castile tragedies, as well as her response to criticism:

Stanford Rapist Brock Turner's Character Witnesses Regret Their Support — See What They Had To Say!

Earlier this week, former Stanford student Brock Turner was convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman, and people are outraged over his light sentence to spend mere six months in jail.

Turner's rape trial has garnered national attention for perfectly illustrating white privilege and victim blaming, and even those who once supported Turner are now realizing that he is definitely not the victim in the situation.

Kelly Owens, Brock's former high school guidance counselor, praised the swimmer in a letter to Judge Aaron Persky during the case — nothing that he was an "exceptional student" and "a young man of character" who was "absolutely undeserving of the outcome."

Now, after learning of Turner's laughable sentencing (and the public's reaction to it), Owens regrets supporting the 20-year-old sex offender.

On Wednesday, she issued an apology to her school district and Oakwood High School, writing:

Facebook has issued an apology after rejecting an advertisement featuring plus sized model Tess Holliday, claiming the photo depicts "body parts in an undesirable manner".

The advert was promoting a talk show from Cherchez la Femme, an Australian group that holds monthly events with "an unapologetically feminist angle."

Last week, the group said FB banned the ad that showed Holliday wearing a bikini, telling them it violated the company's "ad guidelines".

After CLF appealed the rejection, the social networking site's ad team defended the decision, noting that the photo failed to follow their "health and fitness policy," writing:

Gene Simmons Apologizes For Calling Prince's Death 'Pathetic'

See Gene's apology HERE!

Even Gene Simmons knows what he said wasn't cool.

ICYMI, the Kiss star commented on Prince's passing in a recent interview, calling the artist's death "pathetic," because he believes the icon's alleged drug addiction is what caused his untimely passing.

Well now, the 66-year-old is apologizing for his rude remarks.

The rocker took to Twitter to explain why he made those controversial comments, admitting he was raised with a strong anti-drug mentality:

"I just got such sh*t from my family for my big mouth again. I apologize — I have a long history of getting very angry at what drugs do to the families/friends of the addicts. I get angry at drug users because of my experience being around them coming up in the rock scene. In my experience they've made my life, and the lives of their loved ones, difficult. I was raised in a culture/crowd where drug addicts were written off as losers, and since that's the narrative I grew up with, it's been hard to change with the times."

While that's a totally fair feeling, it doesn't diminish the death of the late legend.

But the famous father knows that now. He continued to say:

Johnny Depp's Wife Amber Heard Avoids Criminal Conviction For Dog Smuggling By Pleading Guilty & Appearing In THIS Incredibly Awkward Apology Video!

Filed under: Oops!Legal MattersJohnny DeppAmber Heard

Awkward.

On Monday, Amber Heard pleaded guilty for illegally smuggling her and her husband Johnny Depp's dogs, Pistol and Boo, into Australia last year. Shockingly, this admittance of guilt did not result in any criminal convictions.

Ahhh, to be a celebrity. We wonder how the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Barnaby Joyce, who waged war on the law breaking twosome, feels about this verdict?
