If you booked a stay at the 50 Shades of Grey-inspired hotel, you're going to have to find another venue to get your Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele fantasies on…at least for now.
The Spanish hotel, named after the chateau in the 1954 erotic novel The Story of O, recently received a notice from the town council to cancel the intended Friday opening. The council argued that the hotel is too close to a chapel "where dozens of people come every day to visit the village's patron saint."
Yeah, we could see how that might be a little awkward…
Sadly, excited fans will have to wait indefinitely to enjoy the erotic hotel, which boasts 20 rooms and four dungeons where guests can indulge in their wildest BDSM fantasies (bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, sadism, and masochism).
The owner of the hotel plans to fight the decision, which might prove to be a difficult task considering the strong opposition from the town's 2,500 residents.
For those fans who just can't wait to get their Grey on, there's another 50 Shades of Grey-inspired hotel (minus the dungeon) already open in Oregon called The Heathman.
