Ben Stiller & Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock Lead Protest After MCA's Memorial Was Defaced With Pro-Trump Graffiti & Swastikas! See What They Said!

no title

You gotta fight for your right… to not have swastikas spray painted on children's parks, apparently.

Last week, an unknown Donald Trump supporter defaced a memorial park in honor of late Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch (aka MCA) with swastika graffiti, along with the words "Go Trump."

Obviously, New Yorkers weren't too pleased to find the Nazi symbol written multiple times on playground equipment at the Brooklyn park — so, hundreds of citizens gathered to protest the hate messages on Sunday!

Among those in the crowd spreading love was New York Senator Daniel Squadron and Yauch's fellow Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz. Ad-Rock said was glad to see so many band together and protest against the offensive symbols:

"Everybody that heard about this came out. We got old friends and new friends."

One of Horovitz's friends was Ben Stiller, who said this isolated incident was part of a larger wave of hate crimes that have flooded the country in the weeks following Trump's electoral win. He explained:

Hollywood Was NEVER Original! Here Are 11 'Classic' Movies You Had No Idea Were Actually Remakes!

no title

Some cinephiles long for the golden age of Hollywood, where films were considered original pieces of art instead of remakes, sequels, and adaptations.

Well, we hate to shatter the illusion — but remakes have been a part of the movie making biz long before Paul Feig's Ghostbusters came to town!

Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro's awkward chemistry in 2000's Meet The Parents made the comedy an instant classic, but few fans know that it was actually a remake of a 1992 independent comedy of the same name!

The Bourne Identity had a TV movie a decade before Matt Damon took on the title role, and there was even MORE THAN ONE iteration of The Wizard of Oz before the famous 1939 classic!

Ch-ch-check out our list (below) for more movies you had no idea were actually remakes!

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool opened this weekend and had no trouble SLAYING its competition!

While the Merc with a Mouth was up against both Zoolander 2 and How to Be Single, the Marvel hero basically embarrassed the hell out of the other flicks as it ended up taking in $135 MILLION this weekend!

Not only that, but the raunchy hero movie is estimated to take in a total of $150 million over the four-day holiday weekend.

That's absolutely AH-Mazing seeing as how FOX's earliest predictions had the comic book flick pulling in somewhere around $65 mil.

If that's not enough, Deadpool also set a TON of records as it became the biggest February opening weekend ever and destroyed Fifty Shades of Grey's previous President's Day weekend record for $85.2 million over three days and $93 million over four.

The anti-hero broke several other records in the process, including:

Ben Stiller Credits His Late Mother As Comedic Inspiration

The pain is still fresh for Ben Stiller.

Despite leading a life of comedy, Stiller has experienced a lot of heartache since losing his mother Anne Meara in May of 2014. The matriarch passed away at age 85.

Speaking on the loss, the actor admitted it's still hard to accept his mother's passing as the two were very close:

"It happened so recently that I'm still processing it. It affects me constantly. You know, you're going through your life, everything is great and then like, Pow! She's not here. It's hard for me."

So sad. At least B.S. has his wife Christine Taylor to lean on.

Going back the humor of his mom, Stiller revealed

"Obviously, my dad is a huge person in my life. I love him. But my mom was the person that I most looked up to for her point of view, her humor. To the end, my mother never lost her sense of humor. It's amazing to be able to laugh."

How sweet. It sounds like Anne was an amazing woman.

Summing of the lovely personality of his mother, the comedian stated:

"She was a real meat-and-potatoes Irish Catholic New Yorker. She didn't put on any airs or have an ego tied up with show business. She was incredibly comfortable with being who she was. She had a tough exterior, but it was easy to get past it. She was so loyal and generous to people, helping them, supporting them. She loved young people."

Aw. It's too bad Meara couldn't be there too witness Zoolander 2 — we bet Ben would have loved for his mom to be there.

Stay strong, Ben!
