More details about Selena Gomez's surgery!

Selena Gomez is lucky to have such an amazing support system!

As we previously reported, the songstress revealed she received a kidney transplant months ago, all thanks to her best friend and fellow actress, Francia Raisa!

According to TMZ, The Weeknd also played a huge part as he stuck by her side when Selly was rushed to the hospital due to kidney failure back in May! It turns out the star, who has openly talked about her battle with lupus, was in Chicago for the R&B singer's show when it happened.

They say she was already on the list for a kidney transplant.

For those who don't know, lupus is a serious disease which attacks the immune system and can attack the organs, including the kidneys, heart, and lungs.

Obama Returns To The Spotlight To Talk Politics While Expertly Avoiding Donald Trump's Name — Get The Best Twitter Reactions!

<a href=

On Monday, Barack Obama made his first public appearance since leaving office in January!

The former President visited University of Chicago to speak to the students about community involvement of the next generation, and we could only imagine what else.

It's no wonder he had the institution AND "President Obama" trending on Twitter, as he told the crowd:

"The single most important thing I can do is prepare next generation to take their crack at changing the world."

Preach!

Obviously, we hoped the 55-year-old would make any remarks about Donald Trump as it comes the same week POTUS hits his 100-day mark in office… and well, he expertly avoided it!

There were some hints though as he brought up getting news from social media (as in possible fake news), immigration, and the "cutthroat" business of having a clothing line (cough cough, Ivanka Trump).

At least someone is taking swift action. Even if it isn't much…

After video of aviation police violently dragging a United Airlines passenger off a plane against his will (because of the flight being overbooked of all things) went viral, all the United CEO could do was apologize for "having to re-accommodate" the customers.

But the police are taking this disturbing story more seriously; the officer responsible to bloodying the poor passenger's face is apparently being put on administrative leave.

Chicago Aviation Department spokesperson Karen Pride wrote in an official statement to the press:

"The incident on United flight 3411 was not in accordance with our standard operating procedure and the actions of the aviation security officer are obviously not condoned by the Department. That officer has been placed on leave effective today pending a thorough review of the situation."

No word yet on whether the leave is paid, but we think we have a pretty good guess.

No, the man wasn't causing a disturbance; he was chosen randomly to be kicked off after the flight was overbooked.
