Amy Schumer Is Once Again The Only Female On Forbes' List Of The World's Highest Paid Comedians

amy schumer only female on forbes highest paid comedians list

There's no denying that the comedy world is a male-dominated industry.

Thankfully, Amy Schumer's success has shaken up this reality a bit as she's (once again) the only female comedienne listed on Forbes' annual ranking of the highest earning comedians worldwide.

In fact, it was only last year that Miz Schumer made history by becoming the first woman ever to make the list. In case you forgot, the Trainwreck actress came in fourth with an estimated annual income of $17 million.

On Thursday, Forbes dropped their list once more — only this time the Inside Amy Schumer creator dropped down a ranking. Although, don't feel too badly for the 36-year-old as her annual income increased by $20 million. The funny lady was beat out by icons like Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Louis C.K.

Fingers crossed she jumps up to the number one spot in 2018!

At this point in his life, Chris Rock is performing comedy bordering on tragedy.

The comedian kicked off his Total Blackout Tour in February, which marked his first high-profile tour in nearly a decade — and a lot sure has changed during that nine year hiatus.

The biggest development in Rock's life was his split from wife of 18 years Malaak Compton-Rock, which is why the Top Five star calls his tour his "alimony tour."

The PwC Accountant Responsible For That Oscars Blunder Was Thirsty For Fame!

Filed under: TV NewsOops!Chris RockJimmy KimmelOscars

Brian Cullinan

Sounds like that PwC accountant responsible for the embarrassing Oscars blunder could have been a little more focused on doing his job than chasing fame.

As you know, Brian Cullinan was tweeting pics of Emma Stone on Sunday when he accidentally handed off the duplicate Best Actress envelope to Warren Beatty instead of Best Picture. Smh.

We're now hearing that Brian also allegedly asked show producers for him and his colleague Martha Ruiz to be a part of a sketch with Jimmy Kimmel at some point during the show — an idea that was supposedly turned down!

Thirsty much???

Despite these reports, however, a rep from the accounting firm tells Variety that this is absolutely not true — and Brian was just meeting with the showrunners because the company was still a little offended by Chris Rock's joke last year when he brought three Asian-American kids onstage to represent the accountants.

The representative argued:

Sorry, Jimmy Kimmel — This Year's Oscars Was The Lowest Rated In NINE YEARS!

no title

If only that Best Picture snafu happened at the beginning of the Oscars telecast!

Because despite an evening full of twists, Mean Tweets, and Matt Damon digs, the 89th Academy Awards didn't do so hot in the ratings department.

According to the early numbers from Nielsen, the nearly four-hour show averaged an overnight 22.4 rating in metered market results, making it the lowest rated Oscars in NINE years!

This year's show dipped 3% from when Chris Rock hosted in 2016, which saw a 23.4 rating — or roughly 34.43 million viewers.

Despite ranking as the longest in 10 years, Sunday's Jimmy Kimmel hosted ceremony surprisingly did not see a dip in viewership towards the end, but remained steady throughout the ABC broadcast.

Most people tuned in during the 9 o'clock EST hour, well before the now-infamous Best Picture mix-up that will undoubtedly go down in Oscar history.

However, 2017's ceremony was still 10 million viewers shy of those who tuned in to 2014's Ellen DeGeneres hosted show, which was the highest rated broadcast in the 21st century with
