Ellen DeGeneres Was Bullied Into A 'Severe Depression' After Coming Out Of The Closet

Ellen DeGeneres just wants us to be kind to one another.

Earlier this year, the talk show host celebrated the 20th anniversary of her sitcom's iconic coming-out episode — which reflected Ellen's coming out IRL.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, the comedian spoke on the dark side of her trailblazing sexuality reveal, admitting she was bullied so badly after that she fell into a depression.

In the September cover interview with the mag, she explained:

"The bullying I endured [in Hollywood] after I came out made up for the lack of it during my childhood. I moved out of L.A., went into a severe depression, started seeing a therapist and had to go on antidepressants for the first time in my life."

April 30, 1997 marked a historic day in sitcom history when the actress's character on her hit ABC show Ellen came out as gay.

A year after The Puppy Episode aired, the sitcom was canceled, and Ellen's career was in jeopardy. She added:

Our thoughts are with Chester's family and loved ones.

It's hardly been 24 hours since it was revealed Chester Bennington seemingly committed suicide.

While many stars paid tribute to the late Linkin Park frontman on social media, Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch instead criticized the singer for taking the "cowardly way out."

We're still in shock.

As we previously reported, actress and YouTube sensation Stevie Ryan died on Saturday (July 1) as she seemingly killed herself via hanging. She was only 33.

The industry vet first broke onto the scene thanks to her YouTube series Little Loca and then later transitioned into doing celebrity parodies on the video platform. Ryan eventually took her talents to the small screen as she had a short lived TV series with VH1 and also served as a cohost for Brody Jenner's chat show, Sex with Brody.

So it's no wonder countless people are now flocking to Twitter to pay tribute to the late starlet — including ex Drake Bell, Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans, comedian David Alan Grier, Trisha Paytas, and more.

YouTube Comedian Stevie Ryan Commits Suicide Following Her Grandfather's Death

Actress and YouTube star Stevie Ryan died over the weekend in what officials are ruling as a suicide by hanging.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office confirmed that the 33-year-old died on Saturday, July 1.

Ryan gained notoriety through her YouTube series Little Loca then later transitioned to doing celebrity parodies on the video platform.

The comedienne took her talents to VH1 in 2012 in the form of a pop culture sketch series called Stevie TV. She was also a cohost of Brody Jenner's series Sex with Brody.

Ryan was most recently the cohost of a Mentally Ch(ill), a podcast about depression. In the latest episode, released two days before her death, the actress revealed her grandfather died Thursday.

Just a day before she took her own life, Ryan shared a message in remembrance of her grandfather on Twitter:

An inspiring story that could have ended in tragedy.

Ryan O'Callaghan devoted most of his life to playing football, but his dedication to the sport was really just a ploy to hide from his true identity.

The former NFL star, who played for the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, just came out as gay in a moving interview with OutSports — and admitted he planned on committing suicide when his career was over.

The athlete felt he could never live as an openly gay man growing up in the conservative town of Redding, California, and realized in high school he didn't fit any of the traditional gay stereotypes.

Shortly after coming out to himself in junior high school, O'Callaghan decided that he would hide behind the pinnacle of masculinity: football.

And so he kept his secret hidden under his jersey for over a dozen years, throughout his journey playing college ball at the University of California to the NFL. He explained:

Chrissy Teigen Describes What It’s Really Like To Suffer From ‘Really Bad Anxiety’

She's so real!

Butthole talk aside, Chrissy Teigen actually got serious about some real issues in her recent interview with Marie Claire.

The supermodel, who has previously opened up about her struggle with postpartum depression, revealed she still has to battle "really bad anxiety" and its effects despite her antidepressants.

Baby Luna's momma shared:

"Every step I take feels a little shaky. It's such a weird feeling that you wouldn't know unless you have really bad anxiety. You feel like everyone is looking at you."

Still, like we previously mentioned, she hopes it doesn't impede with her wanting to expand her family with husband John Legend:

"I would definitely adopt or have foster children. But I loved being pregnant. Maybe I should be scared [of having PPD again], but I don't know. It couldn't be any worse than it was — could it?"

Aww!

Either way, the Legends will have a beautiful family!
