Some Disneyland Rides Are Temporarily Closing To Make Space For Star Wars World… But A Few Attractions Are Never Coming Back!
Even your annual pass can't help you here!
Disneyland may be the happiest place on Earth, but some guests might be bummed to learn that a few House of Mouse classics are shutting down for a hot second.
In order to make room for the upcoming Star Wars world, Disney's theme park in Anaheim is temporarily closing a number of attractions in January 2016 — including Fantasmic!, Mark Twain Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, and all of the Disneyland Railroad!
Basically, anything that was located along the Rivers of America is kaput.
But now for the even worse news… once Big Thunder Ranch, and all that it contains, shuts down on January 10, it'll be gone forever!
Luckily, the ranch pretty much only held a petting zoo and stage reserved for private events, so hopefully the two intergalactic rides as well as the real-life Mos Eisley Cantina more than make up for them.
The Star Wars parks are still years away from completion, so if one of your faves is getting the temporary boot, you better get to Disneyland soon!
