Prepare yourselves because a Doctor Who truth bomb was just dropped!!
It's been discovered that back in 1986 the show's original creator, Sydney Newman, once suggested there should be a female doctor!

He wrote in a letter:
"At a later stage, Dr Who would be metamorphosed into a woman. This requires some considerable thought – mainly because I want to avoid a flashy Hollywood 'Wonder Woman' because this kind of hero(ine) has no flaws – and a character with no flaws is a bore."
Ahh! So what happened?
When the show originally ran, there were 26 seasons, then an additional eight from the show's revival, and still, all the doctors have been men!
Of course, there have been strong leading women, but who wouldn't want to see their favorite companions take the spotlight??
It seems like unless we hop into the TARDiS and go back in time, we won't be seeing a female doctor soon.
DW's current showrunner, Steven Moffat, previously said:
"It will not happen that somebody sits down and says we must turn the Doctor into a woman … A person will pop into the showrunner's head and they'll think. ‘Oh my God, what if it was that person?' And when that person is a woman, that's the day it will happen."
There's still a chance! But until then, Whovians will have just to wait!
What do U think?? And who would U cast as the first female doctor?!
