Peter and Bobby Farrelly sparsely use their Twitter account, but when they do, it's big news!

On Monday, the guys behind Dumb and Dumber revealed they were ALMOST done with the script for the long-awaited sequel, Dumb and Dumberer.

Oh, thank GOODNESS!

We were positively CRUSHED earlier this summer when we discovered that Jim Carrey had dropped out of a proposed Dumber and Dumber To over conflicts with New Line and Warner Brothers, with co-star Jeff Daniels even confirming it to be true!

But now, the actor, currently starring on Newsroom, has revealed that

Look at these goofballs! Regardless of whether or not The Three Stooges is any good, the actors sure know how to commit to a role.

Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Will Sasso stayed in character as they stooged up the red carpet with slapstick comedy at the world premiere of the Peter and Bobby Farrelly movie.

Dumb and Dumber 2 is finally getting made!

The director of The Three Stooges, Peter Farrelly, confirmed the wheels have been set in motion to film the sequel to the original classic.

Here they come!

The final theatrical trailer has been released for the Farrelly Brothers' homage to The Three Stooges, which stars Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos as the iconic slapstick trio, and although we're not treated to as many of the cameos as the first preview featured, we get a better idea of the storyline this time around - and a lot more Sofia Vergara!

We will be very CURIOUS to see how this fares - critically AND commercially - when it drops on April 13th!

Let's all just pretend that Dumb and Dumber-er never really happened! We bet Peter and Bobby would prefer it that way!

Not that the brothers are wrapped on The Three Stooges, the duo are looking ahead to what project they want to be tackling next. So many options are available to them, but the prospect of doing a sequel to their zany, Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels comedy, Dumb and Dumber, really seems to be the way they are leaning.

After casting change-ups and various production snags, it looks like this is finally on its way!
