It's no secret that Game of Thrones the TV show has been rapidly catching up to its source material.
The first book in George R.R. Martin's fantasy series was published way back in 1996, and to this day, he's only released five of the seven planned volumes.
Compared to HBO's fantasy series that is about to start its fifth season since premiering in 2011, it's safe to say that the televised version of the story is moving along at a much faster pace.
So, it didn't come as quite a surprise when GoT's show runners Dan Weiss and David Benioff announced over the weekend that the show would officially begin to spoil the books.
However, you may take some solace in the fact that nothing is going to ruin the sixth book until at least this time next year.
