This is simply awful.
A 3-year-old boy in Houston died on Thursday afternoon after he was trapped inside a car in 100°F heat, and went into cardiac arrest.
Evan Trapolino had gone into a car on his street in the Texas city searching for a toy, and after entering through the front passenger door, the toddler climbed into the back seat to recover it.
From there, child-proof locks on the car doors left him unable to get out, and the young boy was apparently unable to climb back into the front seat.
Very quickly afterwards, the day's temperatures took hold in the hot car, and the boy went into cardiac arrest.
