Cam Newton Sued By Stacy Keibler's Husband For Allegedly Causing $100K In Damages To Beverly Hills Property — Get The Legal Deets!
If that 1-3 record wasn't stressful enough for Cam Newton, the Panthers quarterback is now being sued by Stacy Keibler's husband, Jared Pobre, for allegedly damaging an $11 million Beverly Hills mansion he rented during the offseason.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit asks for the athlete to cough up $90,324.47 in damages, plus legal fees and $180K in lost rent ($270,324.47 total) — after the 27-year-old allegedly broke the contract by throwing parties and trashing the pad during his 61-day stay.
In the lawsuit, Pobre — who manages the luxury home rental company — claims Newton paid $123K to rent home back in March, and agreed there wouldn't be any parties, smoking, or more than eight guests.
Turns out, the housekeeper spilled the beans about the Auburn standout's behavior by telling the rental company there were "multiple" parties and cigarette ashes everywhere.
When the MVP finally left the crib, Pobre says Newton is responsible for a broken fridge, water damage on the floors, ruined linens, and a destroyed rug worth $32K — repairs that took over two months to fix. Eep!
So far, no word back from Cam's camp — but considering he is currently under a five-year, $103.8 million contract (according to Spotrac.com), we'd say he can probably take care of these fees sooner rather than later…
