"You gave a six-year-old boy his Laker dream
And I'll always love you for it.
But I can't love you obsessively for much longer.
This season is all I have left to give.
My heart can take the pounding
My mind can handle the grind
But my body knows it's time to say goodbye."
Aww. What a disappointing day for Kobe fans. Either way, it seems like he's doing the best for his health.

Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom have an amazing bond!
After the Lakers practice on Tuesday, Kobe spoke out on Lamar's condition following his drug overdose on October 13.

While many of us were blown away that Odom miraculously bounced back from multiple strokes and other health issues, Bryant was particularly stunned and relieved to learn of his friend's recovery.
In the NBA star's statement, he expressed gratitude and disbelief over his former teammate's recent health victories, saying:
"He's a brother above everything else…it's important to see him get back on his feet. It's amazing to see him doing so well. It truly is remarkable. It puts things in perspective a little bit more. This is what we do, this is not who we are. Sometimes basketball can get in the way of life and the way of living."
We second every word! We bet the father of two so appreciates the support of his "brother"!
Hopefully Master P keeps quiet on Kobe's statement — the rapper seems intent on exposing the pair's friendship as a sham when that's clearly not the case!

As we previously reported, Khloe Kardashian has refused to leave Lamar Odom's bedside after he was rushed to the hospital last week. Every member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan made their way to support the KUWTK starlet as she stays by her estranged husband.
Thankfully, the NBA star is on the mend and taking visitors — which includes almost every member of the massive reality TV family.
However, it seems that Lammy's former teammate Metta World Peace feels that L.O.'s hospital is a tad overcrowded and that Miz Kardashian's family should be the first to go. Ouch!

Is this really the right time to be starting a feud?!
Just a few days after Master P blasted Kobe Bryant for allegedly not being a true friend to Lamar Odom during his time of need, the rapper is slinging mud once AGAIN.
While we're not sure what set off M.P. this time, we bet it has to do with a cryptic tweet Kobe sent out following the 48-year-old's initial comments.

In a long and ranting statement titled The Truth Hurts, the New Orleans native reaffirms his opinion that Bryant and his former Lakers teammates weren't there for him during his dark times, saying:
"Lamar complained about how everybody turned their backs on him, even his nba buddies."
