Last Fall on the past season on The Biggest Loser, trainer Bob Harper made the decision to publicly come out in order to help a contestant who was struggling to tell his father he was gay!
Although Bob says he originally came out when he was 17, it was the first time he openly talked about his sexuality on camera and this weekend he made his first appearance at a LGBT event since making the big announcement!
The trainer made his way to the Human Rights Campaign gala in Los Angeles on Saturday where he opened up about the huge moment, saying:

This is fab news!!
For too long gay players have been afraid to be out and comfortable in major league sports — if they even making that far, knowing the culture of those sports hasn't been the best for the LGBT community.
Luckily, we're seeing strides all around, and the more players that come out the better things will get!
Well, it sounds like Major League Soccer isn't going to wait around for more players to come out! They're already doing their part to make a better effort in protecting gays in in the league!
In announcement from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, it's said that

Project Runway’s Tim Gunn is both openly gay and a staunch supporter of the LGBT community.
Which is why MANY were surprised when he recently admitted he’s against the use of transgender models in the fashion industry!
What the whaaaa??
He doesn’t even think Barneys’ spring campaign, which stars 17 transgender models, was all that progressive!!
Why? In his opinion,

Walt Disney World is taking a stand!
A stand against the Boy Scouts of America!
The controversial group's refusal to end its ban on openly LGBT boy scout leaders kind of negates its decision to end the ban on openly gay youth.
After all, what are you teaching kids when you tell them to pour their heart and soul into something only until they're 18 years old, and then they're shunned by the organization that they'd loved so much? Doesn't make much sense to us.
And apparently Walt Disney World feels the same way because they are NOT going to keep going with their Ears to You program, which would match

Unlike movies, video game sequels are almost always better than the original. That makes GaymerX 2 totally worth supporting!
The second year of the first LGBTQ gaming convention has already tripled in length (turns out its a grower not a shower!) from one day to three!
How else are they going to contain events like an appearance by openly gay wrestler Darren Young?

Ellen Page just came out of the closet!
At Friday's THRIVE Conference for LGBT youth in Las Vegas, the X-Men: Days Of Future Past star declared proudly to a packed crowd that she was tired of living a lie! She said:
"I’m here today because I am gay…
I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain."
Yes! You go, gurl! We're behind you 100%!

You don’t have to identify as just male or female on Facebook anymore!
The social networking behemoth added a NEW option that allows users to select a custom setting when it comes to their gender!
That’s pretty damn awesome!
High five, Facebook!
Now you’ll be able to type in your own gender identity AND be able to decide who is allowed to see!
You can also choose which pronouns the site will use to describe you to others!
A Facebook engineer who worked on the changes is actually undergoing a gender transformation herself and explained how huge of a deal this is for the website.
Brielle Harrison explained:
