Talk about a kick-ass comedy!
Netflix has given us some fresh and innovative concepts over the past few years, from Orange is the New Black, to Grace and Frankie, to Bloodline.
Now the streaming service will explore the world of 1980s female wrestling leagues in the upcoming series G.L.O.W.!
The streaming giant has given a 10-episode order to the comedy, which will be executive produced by OITNB creator Jenji Kohan!
Set in ‘80s Los Angeles, the series tells the story of an out-of-work actress who comes across one last attempt to live showbiz dreams through a weekly series about female wrestlers.

Created by Homeland's Liz Flahive and OITNB's Carly Mench, the comedy is inspired by the real story of the wrestling league G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling), an answer to the patriarchal World Wrestling Federation.
The Las Vegas-based campy variety series ran for four seasons in the ‘80s and featured sketches, songs, and wrestling!
Now all this show needs is a knockout cast, and we have a smash hit!
Are YOU pumped up for G.L.O.W.?
