More Advertisers Pull Spots From The View Even AFTER The Show Featured Dozens Of Nurses!

Well, that plan backfired!

Well, it looks like that strategy was counter-productive.

The View got hit where it hurts — in the piggy bank — when a few sponsors pulled their ads after host Joy Behar began cracking jokes about Miss Colorado's decision to wear scrubs and deliver a monologue about being a nurse during this year's Miss America pageant.

To get back on everyone's good side, the show decided to invite a bunch of nurses on the panel program to prove to audiences — and advertisers — everywhere just how much they love RNs!

Too bad it didn't work.

Three more companies have yanked their commercials during the show's slot, including Party City, Snuggle, and McCormick spices.

They join Johnson & Johnson and Eggland's Best, who paused their promotions on Thursday.

During the talent the portion of the contest, Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson, performed a monologue which talked quite a bit about her profession as a nurse.

So sad.

Sources have just confirmed the death of Mary Ann Mobley Collins, who was an actress, philanthropist, and the first Miss America from Mississippi back in 1959.

The 77-year-old passed away on Tuesday at her Beverly Hills home.

Mary made many appearances in movies, on TV, and on Broadway.

She was also known for her humanitarian efforts, which she was passionate about with her husband Gary Collins. Gary died in 2012.

Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.
