Guilty Plea #3 From Team Trump… That's One Fat, Juicy Nothingburger!

First George Papadopoulos, then General Mike Flynn. Now Rick Gates has become the third member of Donald Trump's presidential campaign or transition team to plead guilty.

But y'all keep telling yourselves it's all a hoax.

Trump's deputy campaign chairman plead guilty to two felonies — one of making false statements (which is the same thing Papadopoulos and Flynn plead to) and one of conspiracy against the United States — for which he could still face up to 71 months.

We'll say that again — conspiracy against the United States!

We're no legal experts, but we've seen enough Law & Order to know that plea deals are for LESSER crimes than what they committed — and they're given to folks who can testify against bigger fish.

In this case, the obvious bigger fish is Gates' boss Paul Manafort, Trump's campaign chairman, whom Robert Mueller has indicted on charges including conspiracy, money-laundering, and tax evasion.

Gates is already cooperating, signing a statement in the plea deal admitting he conspired with Manafort "in a variety of criminal schemes."

Manafort says he's not going to flip and give up an even bigger fish, but excuse us if we don't take a professional liar's word for it…

Holy crap.

Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, and his longtime business associate, Rick Gates, were both told to surrender to law enforcement on Monday morning. This legal update was brought about by the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller over the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Russia during the presidential election.

Despite President Trump's past insistence that his campaign did NOT collude with Russia, a White House source told NBC News:

Obviously CNN is not running scared after that wrestling gif… maybe because it's full of adults…

The network dropped an exclusive video on Wednesday afternoon showing Donald Trump getting very chummy with the Agalarov family, and with their publicist, Rob Goldstone.

Yep, the man who sent Donald Trump Jr. all those emails, brokering a meeting with Emin Agalarov and Russian lawyer who — in order to show "Russia and its government's support of Mr. Trump" — would give them secret info about Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump Jr. is coming clean!

On Tuesday, POTUS's eldest son released what he claims are screengrabs of the full email chain discussing plans to meet with a Russian attorney who allegedly had damaging dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Trump Jr. said he was sharing the correspondence "in order to be totally transparent" in a statement posted along with the three pages of emails between him and music publicist Rob Goldstone.

So, what exactly went down? Well, apparently one of Goldstone's clients knew of a Russian government official who was offering to provide the Trump campaign with documents that "would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia."

The meeting was set up at the request of Goldstone's client Emin Agalarov, a Russian pop star whose Kremlin-connected family has previously done business with Donald Trump.

Goldstone added in the email that the docs would be "very useful" to The Donald, noting:

Was anyone on Donald Trump's team working on behalf of the United States for fuck's sake??

Throughout investigations into the Trump campaign's numerous ties to Russia, former chairman Paul Manafort is trying to get ahead of at least one instance of working for another government.

Apparently Manafort is planning on registering with the U.S. government as a foreign agent for his work with the Ukraine's Viktor Yanukovych in 2012-2014.

Video: Sean Spicer's Hitler Press Conference Fail Fits WAY Too Perfectly With The Veep Closing Credits!

Basically, because he was representing the interests of a country other than the U.S., he has to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, allowing himself to be scrutinized more closely by our government. Presumably to, y'know, make sure he isn't committing treason against America.

Manafort's spokesman released a statement clarifying:
