Sugar, spice, and a hardcore theme song!

Tacocat performs the title song Who's Got The Power? — which shows Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup saving the world (before bedtime, of course) with some seriously captivating stylized animation!

If this punk-rock theme is any indication, this show will pack a serious punch!

Powerpuff Girls Are Back With New Voices — But Thankfully The Same Charm! Watch The First Clip Of The Rebooted Toon!

The City of Townsville… is under new management!

While we were surprised when Cartoon Network announced they were making a reboot of their highest rated show ever, we were overjoyed at the thought of having The Powerpuff Girls around for another generation.

However, our excitement quickly faded when we learned that not only was the art style going to be updated, but they were getting rid of Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong, and E.G. Daily as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup!

We're still bummed about the recasting, but the first full clip for the revamped series finally aired on Thursday, and we may have been a little too harsh on PPG 2016.

In fact, Natalie Palamides' Buttercup actually wasn't too bad… but since the clip didn't feature any voice work from Amanda Leighton's Blossom or Kristen Li's Bubbles, we have a feeling they might be slightly more jarring…

Still, we'll have to wait until this April for the show to premiere in its entirety, but this seems like a passable installment, especially cause that little, manly villain is so adorable! LOLz!

When Cartoon Network announced they were bringing back the Powerpuff Girls, we were stoked!

The original show was amazing, and the three little ladies are fantastic female heroes for children to see on TV! Though we have to say we weren't really into the look of the rebooted trio in their one-off special.

But now the first artwork from the new ongoing series is here, and Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles look like their old selves again! Thank goodness! And probably chemical X too!

Spongebob Squarepants himself, Tom Kenny, will even be returning to reprise his roles as the Narrator and the Mayor of Townsville!

But not everything is the same — the girls themselves will have all new voices!

The Powerpuff Girls were one of the greatest things to happen to girl power since Rosie The Riveter. And it looks like the effects of Chemical X have a longer half-life than we thought!

Earlier this year, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup returned for a one-off special- and we guess Cartoon Network was happy with the fan reception!

According to him, the result would be them all looking like attractive hipster models!
