This move is similar to Jimmy Fallon's Lip Sync Battle getting its own FX series, which essentially removed the segment from The Tonight Show lineup — aside from a few all star exceptions.

Late Late showrunner Winston said that while the late night segment will still see Corden singing with recording artists, Apple's version will pair musicians with different comedians, talk show hosts, and other artists!

Winston explained at the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour:

Peter Griffin is always in the wrong place at the wrong time… especially in one of Family Guy's random cutaway scenes!

On Sunday, the comedy took its cartoon patriarch way back to 2014, placing him in the elevator as Jay Z was attacked by his sister-in-law Solange Knowles.

The gag starts when Peter tells his wife Lois that he's all-too-familiar with what happens when people hold in their aggression for too long.

The scene then cuts to overhead black-and-white security footage of Seth MacFarlane's character onboard the elevator with the Empire State of Mind rapper, Beyoncé, Solange, and a security guard.

All Peter wants to do is go to the second floor business center to print out his boarding pass, when he witnesses a fuming Solange lunge at Hova and proceed to kick the sh*t out of him while Bey just… watches!

Ch-ch-check out the funny clip (below) to see what happens!
