So, so sad.
On Monday, an American tourist was mauled to death by a lion at a South Africa wildlife park. Now, the woman has been identified as an editor for the hit TV series Game of Thrones.
Katherine Chappell — who preferred to go by Katie — was a visual effects editor for the fantasy show.
The 29-year-old was taking pictures from the passenger seat of an SUV, when all of a sudden a lion managed to pounce on her through an open window.

The park's assistant operations manager Scott Simpson said Katie and the other tourists weren't following proper procedures at the time of the attack:
"They had their windows all the way down, which is strictly against policy."
The lion had been surrounded by her cubs when she decided to lunge for Katie.
Her sister, Jennifer, took to Facebook to thank friends and family for their outpouring of support following the tragedy:
"We cannot thank everyone enough for the kind words and support. It means the world to us during this difficult time."
According to reports, this is the park's third attack in four months.
