Rapper Mos Def Arrested In South Africa!

Mos Def isn't having a good week!

According to a government rep in South Africa, the rapper was arrested for violating local immigration laws this past Thursday.

Apparently the musician, whose real name is Yasiin Bey, revealed an unrecognized "world passport" when attempting to leave the country. While Bey used an American passport to enter the country back in 2013, his current identification is a no-go.

Not only did Yasiin present illegal documentation, but he also overstayed his visitor's permit back in 2014. Translation — South Africa ain't happy.

Now the actor is facing a court order to vacate the country within 14 days. The legal move also means Mos can't enter the country for the next five years if he doesn't attempt an appeal.

The situation is especially tricky since the The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy star has reportedly been living in the country since 2013 alongside other undocumented family members.

Hopefully Yasiin is able to clean up this legal mess sooner than later!

Oscar Pistorius — The South African Athlete Convicted Of Murdering His Girlfriend — Could Already Be Up For Release! WHAT?!

Well, it looks like the scales of justice are about to tilt in a controversial way!

Oscar Pistorius, the former Olympic athlete convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, might soon be getting out of jail!

Back in October, Pistorius was sentenced to five years in prison for "culpable homicide," which is a South African law somewhat similar to manslaughter here in the United States.

The 28-year-old athlete killed Steenkamp on Valentine's Day, 2013, in their home, claiming he thought an intruder was in the bathroom instead of his girlfriend.

South African law dictates that Pistorius must serve at least one-sixth of his sentence, which would be ten months' time.

The parole board is now recommending that Pistorius be released on August 21, 2015 — ten months to the day after he was sentenced in the case.

What do U think — should Pistorius face more punishment after being found guilty of killing Steenkamp?

Filed under: TV NewsR.I.P.Sad SadLionsWildlifeGame Of ThronesViral: Animals

A visual effects editor for 'Game of Thrones' was mauled to death by a lion in South Africa.

So, so sad.

On Monday, an American tourist was mauled to death by a lion at a South Africa wildlife park. Now, the woman has been identified as an editor for the hit TV series Game of Thrones.

Katherine Chappell — who preferred to go by Katie — was a visual effects editor for the fantasy show.

The 29-year-old was taking pictures from the passenger seat of an SUV, when all of a sudden a lion managed to pounce on her through an open window.

The park's assistant operations manager Scott Simpson said Katie and the other tourists weren't following proper procedures at the time of the attack:

"They had their windows all the way down, which is strictly against policy."

The lion had been surrounded by her cubs when she decided to lunge for Katie.

Her sister, Jennifer, took to Facebook to thank friends and family for their outpouring of support following the tragedy:

"We cannot thank everyone enough for the kind words and support. It means the world to us during this difficult time."

According to reports, this is the park's third attack in four months.
