This is so sad.

Last week, we learned that Scott Weiland's untimely death was brought about because of an overdose related to MDA, cocaine, and alcohol.

But on Monday, the guys from the Stone Temple Pilots decided to honor their former frontman's memory in a more positive light, with an emotional video tribute.

Robert DeLeo, Dean DeLeo, and Eric Kretz shared a captivating clip of themselves listening to the multi-track recording of their song Atlanta.

They wanted to feature the 16-year-old power ballad because it was one of the late rocker's most incredible vocal performances, saying:

"Recently the three of us sat down together to share our memories of Scott and take a moment to reflect on the amazing times we shared. We put the master up of a song called Atlanta from the No. 4 record that we feel really highlights the true brilliance of Scott. We would like to share it with you. Together let's honor Scott…Memories of Candles and Incense. Having the opportunity to listen to these tracks individually reveal the beauty of Scott's lyrical and melodic gift. This is one of the many musical moments we shared together. It is in this way we would like to remember Scott."

On December 3, rock star Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus and it wasn't long after the news broke that we learned it was from an overdose.

While looking into the case, authorities found that Scott's tour bus was filled with all kinds of drugs, and his bandmate, Tommy Black was eventually arrested for cocaine possession that could have been related to Weiland's death.

Scott Weiland's Ex-Wife Writes Heartbreaking Letter Asking Fans To Not 'Glorify This Tragedy'

Scott's ex-wife speaks out.

Days after the death of Stone Temple Pilots' former frontman, Scott Weiland, friends, family, and fans have spoken out about the late musician.

Even his wife Jamie Watchel talked about her late husband, insisting he didn't die from drug use.

But now, the 48-year-old artist's ex-wife, Mary Fosberg Weiland, is telling her tale in a new letter written in Rolling Stone with the help of their two teenage kids, Noah, and Lucy.

She penned:

"The outpouring of condolences and prayers offered to our children, Noah and Lucy, has been overwhelming, appreciated and even comforting. But the truth is, like so many other kids, they lost their father years ago. What they truly lost on December 3rd was hope."

The two were married in 2000 and split seven years later, but she always had hope he would get his life back together. The former model continued, writing on behalf of their children:

Guitarist In Scott Weiland's Band Arrested For Cocaine Possession — Found On Bus Where Rocker Died

So sad.

This is just terrible.

On Thursday night, Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus, after going into cardiac arrest. The 48-year-old was on the road in Minnesota with his current group, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts.

On Friday, authorities arrested the musician's bandmate Tommy Black for cocaine possession. Police say there was a small amount of the substance in the room where the singer's body was found, as well as in the guitarist's portion of the bus.

Sources had said there were drugs in the vehicle at the time Scott passed, causing speculation to surface that the former frontman for the Stone Temple Pilots had died of an overdose.

However, the artist's wife, Jamie Wachtel, insists her husband hadn't been using drugs for quite a while.

The late musician's bandmate faces a 5th-degree felony charge. Our hearts are with everyone affected during this tough time.

Scott Weiland's sudden death has caught the music world completely off-guard.

On Thursday night, the 48-year-old was found dead on his tour bus from cardiac arrest, just before a stop with his new band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts.

The former Stone Temple Pilots frontman had publicly struggled with drug abuse in the past, and some artists were reportedly worried that the rocker had recently been using crack cocaine.

Sources say there were narcotics on the bus, but the late musician's wife, Jamie Wachtel, is adamant that her husband did not die from an overdose.

While she admitted that he still drank in social situations, the photographer explained the band had made a pact to avoid drugs.

The brunette beauty said that when she left the group a week ago, the Velvet Revolver alum didn't appear to be struggling, remembering:

"He was the best he has ever been."
