Supergirl Officially Makes The Rare Network Switch To The CW — But Which Cast Member Might Not Make The Trip??

Up, up, and away… from CBS!

The CW can finally say they're the home of FOUR superhero shows now that Supergirl has officially switched channels for Season Two!

We'd heard rumors that America's most watched network was thinking about throwing away their only drama that actually attracted a younger demographic… but we didn't think they were ever going to go through with it.

Well, we were proven wrong on Thursday when it was announced that Melissa Benoist will be joining the rest of Greg Berlanti's super lineup this Fall!

While this may seem like a shock to some fans, it's actually great news because not only does this ensures more crossovers with The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, but it will also give the cast and crew more creative leeway!

However, we're also hearing Calista Flockhart is hesitant about staying on, seeing as production will be moving from El Lay to Vancouver… but we guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Are U super stoked about Supergirl's new home??

Robbie & Stephen Amell Are Crowdfunding Their OWN Superhero Movie! Watch Their Code 8 Short To Get A Taste Of The Action!

Robbie and Stephen Amell may be killing it on their shows The Flash and Arrow, but the hunky cousins have their sights set on even bigger plans!

The CW stars independently financed an action/sci-fi short film called Code 8 as a proof of concept for a feature film version they are aiming to film later this year!

The two are planning to star in the film that takes place in a world where 4% of the population are born with supernatural abilities — but instead of being revered superheroes, most "specials" live in poverty and resort to crime to survive.

Sure, this sounds like a pretty cool concept, but it also sounds super expensive — that's where YOU come in!

On Tuesday, the cousins launched an Indiegogo campaign in hopes that fans would want to see Code 8 become a feature length film — and will fund the film in exchange for some pretty sweet incentives!

The campaign is full of exclusive perks — including a chance to race Robbie and costar Sung Kang in go karts or even celebrate Robbie and Stephen's birthday!

Ch-ch-check out the Amells' announcement video (above) and watch the intense short (below) to see if YOU want a feature length version of Code 8!

Here's Why The Flash's Grant Gustin Couldn't Be In Batman V Superman!

Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is only a few days away from being released and we're getting more and more excited for the superhero team up.

We already knew that the film will feature both Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as the caped crusader, as well as Gal Gadot's highly anticipated introduction as Wonder Woman, but there are some other heroes showing up too!

Not only is Ray Fisher popping up as Cyborg, but Jason Mamoa will have an appearance as Aquaman, as will Ezra Miller's The Flash!

But wait, don't we already have a Flash in Grant Gustin thanks to the CW's hit show??

Ever since Miller's casting was announced though, there's been a question about why the studio didn't try and link the television universe — The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, DC Legends of Tomorrow — to what they were doing cinematically.

While plenty of stars have spoken about the issue including Gustin and Arrow's Stephen Amell, Snyder finally opened up about why he didn't cast Gustin, saying:

The CW Just Renewed Every Single One Of Its Scripted Dramas — Look Forward To More Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Flash, & Even Supernatural!

no title

This is the best news we've heard all day!

The CW has quietly become arguably the best network on television, and it looks like they know they have a good thing goin' right now.

That's because president Mark Pedowitz just announced on Friday that they have renewed all 11 of their current scripted series!

Video: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Perfectly Parodies Fifth Harmony

This means you can expect more Supernatural (Season 12,) The Vampire Diaries (Season 8,) Arrow (Season 5,) The Originals (Season 4,) The 100 (Season 4,) Reign (Season 4,) The Flash (Season 3,) iZombie (Season 3,) Jane the Virgin (Season 3,) DC's Legends of Tomorrow (Season 2,) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 2) through at least the 2016-2017 season!

We can't believe that the Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles vehicle is still going strong after 11 years on the air — and on the flip side, we're elated that the Golden Globe wins for Rachel Bloom and Gina Rodriguez saved their low rated series!

Unfortunately for fans of Beauty and the Beast, this Summer's fourth season will still be its last, but hopefully it'll go out with a bang.

Which CW show is your favorite??

Vanessa Hudgens Will Star In A DC Superhero Sitcom — But Will She Crossover With Supergirl..?

Filed under: TV NewsVanessa HudgensComic Books

What super news!

Vanessa Hudgens was the breakout star of Grease: Live last month, so it was only a matter of time until she picked up her very own project.

Well, it seems like NBC is here to save the day, because it was announced on Monday that the High School Musical star has landed a new superhero pilot!

The new show Powerless will be part of the DC Comics Universe, but it's going to be pretty different from Arrow, The Flash, and all of the other series we've come to love — this one's a workplace comedy!

Apparently, the sitcom will follow a group of regular humans as they try to get their work done at an insurance company all while living in a world populated by superheroes and villains, including Vanessa's Emily Locke.

Basically they're all just gonna be Trish Walker from Jessica Jones, only with better luck — we hope!

Though this sitcom will be on a different network from the other DC superhero shows, Supergirl and The Flash have already proved that a TV crossover is still possible — but how much this ties into those shows remains to be seen.

Hopefully we'll be seeing Vanessa Hudgens and the rest of the soon-to-be cast Powerless ensemble on NBC this Fall!

Video: Meet The Cast Of DC's Legends Of Tomorrow!

There were rumors that the series — both produced by Greg Berlanti — were eventually going to meet, but we weren't sure it was actually going to happen since Melissa Benoist is housed on CBS while Grant Gustin calls The CW home.

However, Grant confirmed the news that he'd be fighting alongside his former Glee costar in an upcoming episode of Supergirl on Instagram, saying:
