Megan Boone Says Her Character On The Blacklist Will No Longer Carry A Rifle

no title

Just as everyone is (finally!) beginning to really abandon the NRA, television and movie stars are starting to really look at what messages they're sending when they use guns on camera during their shows.

And the star of The Blacklist, for one, is ready to make some changes.

Megan Boone announced on Friday afternoon that her character in the NBC show will no longer carry a rifle around.

In addition to that vow, too, Boone apologized for the possibility that her character on the show — FBI agent/profiler Elizabeth Keen — had ever made guns seem cool in episodes already shot.

Here is Megan's entire message (below):

He's Chevy Chase, and you're not… getting away.

The Saturday Night Live alum was involved in a road rage incident back on February 9 that is sounding more and more like his fault…

According to TMZ, Chevy got cut off by another driver on New York's Tappan Zee Bridge and, thinking his car had been tapped, shined his high beams to get the guy to pull over.

He then approached the driver to "speak to him about his reckless driving" before getting flipped the bird by a passenger. Chevy says it was only then he said:

"If I were a lot younger I'd bust your nose."

At which point the driver got out and kicked him. Buuuut the driver, 22-year-old Michael Landrio, says it went down a little differently.

Donald Trump Thinks Movies Are Too Violent, Suggests Some Kind of 'Ratings System'

We promise we're not trying to be The Onion. This actually happened.

Donald Trump actually found a new scapegoat for gun violence on Thursday, which is to say he found an old scapegoat: violent video games and movies. After talking about how violent video games are shaping young minds, he moved to movies, saying:

"You see these movies, they're so violent. And yet a kid is able to see the movie if sex isn't involved, but killing is involved. And maybe they have to put a rating system for that."

Trump knows they get all our movies and video games in other countries, right? And yet they don't have nearly so many mass shootings or gun deaths. Interesting.

Also, how long has it been since Trump watched a movie?? They've had ratings for DECADES. Oh, and video games too.

And since it's 1999 again apparently, we'll go ahead and save him the time and tell him the popular music albums with the naughty words have explicit labels too.

Anything but guns, right?

Stick that in your rifle and smoke it, NRA.

The National Rifle Association is used to being hated by a good portion of the American population — but after the Parkland mass shooting, they've done pissed off Leslie Knope, too.

Following CNN's heated town hall on gun control on Wednesday night, the association tweeted a thank you to their spokesperson Dana Loesch for representing them, using a GIF of Amy Poehler's character from Parks and Recreation to do so.

That proved to be a big mistake, as those involved with creating the NBC show would not stand for the NRA using Leslie Knope to promote its agenda.

The tweet was such a misfire, in fact, it sparked a response from Leslie herself!

Michael Schur, creator of the sitcom, tweeted at the NRA demanding they take down the tweet — complete with a message from Poehler from beyond the Twitterverse:

Josh Gad is highlighting the light in the darkness.

The Beauty and the Beast actor sent love to his family friend Max Schachter after the grieving father read a poem by his son Alex, who was killed in the Parkland school shooting last week.

Max appeared on CNN's televised town hall on Wednesday night to read the 14-year-old's free-verse poem he penned just two weeks before his death at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Watching the spectacle on TV, Gad was gutted over seeing his bereaved friend reading the deceased teen's powerful words — which, ironically, were about the unpredictability of life.

Parkland Shooting Survivors Continue To Target Complicit Lawmakers In Passionate Press Conference: 'We Want Common Sense Gun Laws'

The survivors of the Parkland, Florida shooting have had enough of your thoughts and prayers.

Instead, they're demanding that legislators to step up to the plate and put nationwide safety before their own political careers.

Students who survived last week's shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School headed to Florida's state Capital on Wednesday to meet with state lawmakers and speak at a press conference.

The passionate speeches included students recounting the horrifying massacre that claimed the lives of 17 people, along with their subsequent meetings with lawmakers that only left them more discouraged.

Even more frustrating was the fact that just a day before the press conference, the Florida state House rejected a ban on many semiautomatic guns and large capacity magazines.

Now, these kids are rightfully pissed — and their voices are making a huge impact on social media.

One student in particular, Delaney Tarr, has made waves on Twitter after giving a biting message to NRA-backed lawmakers. She said:
