More Details About Bryan Singer's 'Unexpected Unavailability' On Bohemian Rhapsody Have Surfaced!

WTF is going on??

On Friday, Fox released a statement saying they have "temporarily halted production on Bohemian Rhapsody due to the unexpected unavailability" of director Bryan Singer.

The Queen biopic — starring Mr. Robot's Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury — has been shooting in England.

While a rep told BBC Singer is dealing with "a personal health matter" concerning him and his family, sources to The Hollywood Reporter paint a different picture.

Reportedly, the X-Men filmmaker failed to return to set after Thanksgiving break, worrying producers who thought about potentially replacing him.

Additionally, Singer has been repeatedly tardy to set, greatly angering the cast and crew. Reportedly, during a "non-showing," a cinematographer had to step in and do Bryan's job.

Famke Janssen Talks Being Pulled From X-Men Franchise & How Sexism Might Have Played A Role In Younger Casting!

no title

Famke Janssen doesn't pull any punches!

The actress spoke candidly about her exit from the X-Men film franchise earlier this week, making it clear she didn't voluntarily bow out of her iconic role.

While attending the Skin Cancer Foundation's Champions for Change Gala on Tuesday, the 52-year-old said it was the producers who decided not to bring her back as Jean Grey after she played the hero in four installments of the series.

Video: New X-Men Movie Is Straight-Up Horror!

She dished to Us Weekly:

"I didn't give up, they gave up on me. There's a big difference."

For those who missed it, Janssen wasn't featured in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse — but her character Jean Grey was, this time played by a much younger Sophie Turner.

While this recast made sense given the fact that Apocalypse takes place in the 1980s, requiring a younger version of Jean Grey, the OG pointed out that a bit of sexism may lie behind the casting change:

The New X-Men Movie Is Straight-Up Horror, And It Actually Looks REALLY FUCKING SCARY!

We're glad 20th Century Fox is finally X-perimenting with their X-Men rights! First we got the comedy of Deadpool, then the grimness of Logan, and now… a horror movie. For real!

The New Mutants is a spinoff about kids at Xavier's School who have to learn how to control their dangerous powers before they can be X-Men.

Unfortunately for them, it seems their new safekeeping facility is FRIKKIN' HAUNTED!!!

In a scary story straight from the comics, The Fault In Our Stars director Josh Boone is taking the mutants somewhere they've never gone before!

Ch-ch-check out the trailer (above)!

The New Mutants stars Maisie Williams (Game Of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Witch), and Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) and hits theaters April 13, 2018 — which just so happens to ALSO be Friday the 13th!

Fans Lose Their Shit As Ryan Reynolds Shares The First Pic Of Josh Brolin As Cable From Deadpool 2!

no title

Deadpool ends with a post-credits scene in which the titular antihero teases that longtime X-Men comic book fan favorite Cable would be joining him in the sequel.

Spoiler alert? Well, whatever, too late now.

With the exception of possibly casting Keira Knightley (we heard she wasn't even in the final three!), the Merc with the Mouth made good on his promise.

Ryan Reynolds shared the first look at Josh Brolin as the gruff, half-cyborg, time-traveling mutant from the future (he's actually the son of Cyclops and a clone of Jean Grey), and it is spectacular.

First, Ryan gave us some head, tweeting:

Ryan Reynolds Has Finally Found His Cable For Deadpool 2!

no title

UPDATE 8:10 P.M. EST: Ryan has now confirmed the casting news with a ridiculous, NSFW tweet that (sort of) welcomes Brolin to the mix:

Ryan Reynolds has had fans in a fervor to see Cable on the big screen ever since his fourth wall-breaking stinger at the end of Deadpool announcing the fan favorite mutant would be in the sequel.

After names like Michael Shannon, David Harbour, and even Brad Pitt were thrown into the mix, the role has gone to Josh Brolin!

According to THR, the Hail Caesar star is signed on for a 4-picture deal, which will likely include an X-Force movie and possibly a solo spinoff.

Video: Is Ryan Reynolds Mean???

This will mark Brolin's third major comic book movie role playing megavillain Thanos for Marvel Studios and DC Comics cowboy Jonah Hex for Warner Bros. (The less said about that flick the better!)

Cable is Deadpool's longtime frenemy, a super-powered soldier from the future (who also happens to be the son of X-Men Cyclops and Jean Grey) who perpetually has to put up with Wade Wilson's nonsense while trying to save the world.

This seems like fantastic casting to us as Brolin was able to effortlessly steal the spotlight from Will Smith as super straight agent K in Men In Black III. Of course, he'll have to bring all that deadpan charm and more to combat RyRey's nonstop quips.

What do YOU think of the casting??

Hugh Jackman Is A Sad, Old Man Wolverine In The Grim First Trailer For Logan!

The one constant through all the ups and downs of the X-Men movies? Hugh Jackman just keeps getting more and more ripped.

Well, that all stops now!

In what the (formerly) huge jacked man claims will be his final outing as Wolverine, he's looking weathered, gray, and somehow terribly scarred!

Video: First Teaser For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2!

Probably doesn't help that the movie takes place in some kind of Mad Max future with no other mutants, except for Sir Patrick Stewart as an X-tremely old Professor Xavier and one little girl who's very much like Wolverine…

See the jarringly grim first trailer for Logan (above), and go see Hugh's last stand March 3, 2017!
