Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Releases Apology Statement! Read It HERE!

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO releases apology statement after backlash

What do you do when that stupid thing you said gets circulated all over the Internet?

Release a (sort of) apology statement!

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries' remarks about not wanting overweight people to wear his company's clothes have gone viral, and prompted a young man to rebrand the retailer by donating thrifted Abercrombie duds to homeless people.

Even Kirstie Alley spoke up about it!

Naturally, the PR firm that represents the brand had to come up with an attempt at damage control –and here it is!

Kirstie Alley Responds To Abercrombie & Fitch's Fat Comments! Vows To Never Shop There AGAIN!

kirstie alley wont shop abercrombie and fitch

Abercrombie & Fitch just lost three more customers!

Kirstie Alley is giving CEO Mike Jeffries a piece of her mind after hearing he doesn't want fat people wearing A&F's clothes.

The actress said:

"Abercrombie clothes are for people who are cool and look a certain way and are beautiful and are thin' and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That would make me never buy anything from Abercrombie… I’ve got two kids in that bracket, but they will never walk in those doors because of his view of people — forget women, his view of just people."

You go, girl!

We're sure your 18 and 20-year-old's money will be better spent at inclusive retailers anyway!

Man Attempts To Rebrand Abercrombie & Fitch By Handing Out Clothes To The Homeless!

Abercrombie & Fitch may want to rethink some of its exclusionary policies.

After hearing the company's CEO Mike Jeffries' remarks about how he doesn't want any overweight people wearing A&F clothing, a USC grad named Greg Karber decided to take action.

In an attempt to subvert the brand's preppy, all-American image, Greg purchased some used Abercrombie pieces from Goodwill and proceeded to hand them out to the homeless in El Lay's Skid Row.

Not only was Greg responding to the CEO's remarks about overweight customers, but also

Diana Di Poce Dares To Create A Magazine For Plus-Sized Women

Dare magazine fills a hole in the market by catering to plus-sized women!

Well, this is a bit of good news after that whole Abercrombie & Fitch debacle!

Diana Di Poce, a fashion communications student at Ryerson University in Canada, has launched Dare magazine, an online publication catering to women size 12 and up.

As is often the case, the 21-year-old was inspired to make the magazine when she noticed a dearth of publications that featured plus-sized women in their pages.

Despite having a plus-size angle, however, the magazine does not

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Doesn't Want Overweight People Wearing Their Clothes

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO doesn't want overweight people to wear his clothes

Rude!

Abercrombie & Fitch doesn't stock women's clothing in XL or XXL sizes because they don't want anybody who doesn't fit their particular body ideal to wear their clothing!

Robin Lewis, co-author of The New Rules of Retail blames Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries' personal attitude toward overweight people as the reason for the lack of plus-sized clothing on the racks.

He recently said:

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Has A Rulebook For Aircraft Standards?!?

It's true, and it's also cray!!

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO, Michael Jeffries created a 47-page Aircraft Standards rulebook that his staff has to follow when working on his $50 million corporate jet.

Sex sells, but apparently not for Abercrombie & Fitch!

The retailer is known for their seksi models and provocative ads, but today's teens, aka Generation C (for creative and connected), could care less.

Marcie Merriman, founder of brand strategy consultancy PrimalGrowth, says Aber needs to reconnect with their audience
