Just last month, it was announced the songstress' husband Chris Perez would be producing a TV show about his late wife based on his book To Selena With Love.
But the rest of the Quintanilla brood isn't too happy about the upcoming series — and is taking legal action against Perez for contract violation!
Abraham Quintanilla, father of The Queen of Tejano, is suing his son-in-law — along with his production company Endemol Latino — in attempt to stop the series from seeing TV screens.
According to the lawsuit, Perez and his production company violated a contract when developing the series, stating that the property rights of Selena belonged to her family.
The lawsuit also claims that Perez's book was unauthorized, which means any adaptations of the work are strictly forbidden!
Hopefully, the two parties can reach some sort of settlement, because we know countless fans would LOVE to see more memories of the late music icon come to life on the small screen.
Until then, we'll have to keep watching Jennifer Lopez's flawless big screen reincarnation…
