Holy crap! This needs to happen.

Joanna Lumley claims that she is in talks with her comedy partner-in-crime Jennifer Saunders to revive the HIGHlarious British series Absolutely Fabulous.

Lumey said:

"Jen wrote to me and said, 'Let's talk through it. What do you think?' And I said, 'Bring it on.' Because we're all still here. Mother's still alive - the wonderful June Whitfield. Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks - the basic five Js - all our names began with J. We're all still alive and available - ish - to do it, and I think we just have to do it.

The great thing is that because in our show, we fast-forwarded to where they're very old and nearly dead and practically plugged into vodka machines and things. It doesn't matter how beyond (the original series) we do it because we know they've been that… So this makes it heaven!"

Yes! Can't wait!

Absolutely fantastic news!

Judy Craymer's Spice Girls musical, Viva Forever, which is still currently in development, just got a whole lot more amazing with the news that Absolutely Fabulous' Jennifer Saunders will be writing the piece's original story!

Craymer says:

"Having Jennifer Saunders on board is the best possible start VIVA FOREVER can have. We are creating a new contemporary story about friendship, celebrity and fame with the music of the Spice Girls. Jennifer is brilliant at writing about these themes and the Spice Girls' songs connect powerfully in a smart and moving way."

Saunders continues:

"I'm thrilled and terrified at the same time. It is very exciting to be writing a musical that encompasses the music and energy of the biggest girl-band of all time. My daughters grew up with The Spice Girls; I had to write the book for them as well as myself. It has been great fun so far."

The story will allegedly focus on love, loyalty, and camaraderie, and will incorporate the music of the girl group through out!

We're thrilled!
