Doritos Creator Dies

doritos

Aw! Sad news!

Arch West, the creator of Doritos and a leading contributor to our gut, passed away last week at 97-years-old.

To honor his memory and accomplishment, his daughter said guests at the funeral will be "tossing Doritos chips in before they put the dirt over the urn."

Not just any Doritos though! Arch will be buried with his 3 favorite flavors — Original, Cool Ranch, and Nacho Cheese.

We'd just like to take a moment and thank Arch for making empty calories taste so good!

If it wasn't his artificially flavored corn chips we were mindlessly overeating through the years, it would have been something else, but we're glad it was Doritos!

Rest in peace, sir!

The Greatest Punter Of All Time Sells Super Bowl Rings After Bankruptcy

Ray Guy

What a shame!

NFL legend Ray Guy, who is considered to be the greatest punter of all-time, has gone bankrupt and was forced to sell all THREE of his Super Bowl rings.

The punter won the rings during his 14-year career on the Raiders and was not happy to see them go, despite nabbing an easy $80,100 for all three.

The 61-year-old told reporters after selling the rings that defined his life:

"I don't want to talk about it. I'm not trying to be hateful, but sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do."

We're so sorry he had to sell those, but hope he remembers it doesn't take away his accomplishments in the NFL!

Derek Jeter Documentary Airing On HBO

Derek Jeter Documentary

Derek Jeter reached a career milestone and made sports history when he hit his 3,000th professional baseball against the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this month.

On July 28th we'll get an extensive look at the New York Yankee shortstop's pursuit of the accomplishment when HBO airs the documentary Derek Jeter 3K.

According to sources, the The MLB Productions and HBO-produced one-hour special offers footage of Jeter both at and away from the ballpark, while also highlighting two games during which Jeter wore a microphone.

Luckily, one of those two games was the one where he smacked his 3,000th hit out of the park for a home run!

Sounds like a must-see special for Yankee fans everywhere!

Lucky Yankees Fan Catches Derek Jeter's 3,000th Hit…And Gives It Back!

Now that is what we like to call sportsmanship!

A lucky 23-year-old fan named Christian Lopez caught Derek Jeter's record setting 3,000th hit at Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

He could have kept it for bragging rights or sold it off to the highest bidding sports buff for a projected $250,000, but instead Lopez decided it belongs in the hands of the Bronx Bomber himself and gave it back to Jeter!

After returning the in exchange for meeting his baseball idol, Lopez told reporters:

"His accomplishment is a milestone. Like someone said, only 27 other people have done this. It's not an everyday thing and he deserves every second of it."

Although the fan did not ask for anything in return other than meeting Jeter, his act of kindness did not go unnoticed by the team he roots for game after game. The Yankees rewarded Lopez with four seats in a team suite for the rest of the season, INCLUDING playoffs!

Probably still not worth $250,000, but still not a bad deal and it's always awesome to see people care more about other people than they do about money.

Check out the video above to meet the lucky fan and get all the details!
