Given the fact that it received a standing ovation after its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, we're not too surprised!

Chris Colfer's film debut - as an actor AND screenwriter - Struck By Lightning has been acquired by Tribeca Film for distribution, and plans to release the coming-of-age comedy to theaters in late 2012, as well as a simultaneous release via OnDemand, iTunes, Amazon Watch Instantly, VUDU, Xbox, and Samsung Media Hub!

Oh boy! It's official! That MileyBird will be swooping down into a theater near you, alongside Miz Kelly Osbourne!

The Weinstein Company has reportedly acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the girls' new flick, So Undercover, with a planned release for October!

As we've reported, the film will focus on a girl hired by the FBI to infiltrate a college sorority, in order to protect the daughter of a mobster.

Sounds like the kind of light-hearted fare we think that Miley does best! And let's face it, she has a built-in audience that will secure a pretty nice payday, regardless of whether it's any good or not!

But our fingers are crossed that it will be!

This guy always does inneresting work, and this sounds like no exception!

Sony Pictures Classics is reportedly attempting to secure the domestic rights to Morgan Spurlock's new documentary, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, which focuses on the filmmaker as he tries to get companies and brands to sponsor his movie, and is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival!

He explains the film as:

"Everywhere you look it seems like something's being brought to you by some sponsor or some corporation. So we said, 'Why not make a doc that looks at that and have the brands actually pay for it?'"

Sounds fascinating!

We LOVED Supersize Me and Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?, so hopefully this new one will follow suit, and get picked up for distribution so everyone else can see it!
