Django Unchained Toys BANNED From eBay!!

Django Unchained Toys BANNED eBay

Django may be Unchained, but he definitely isn't uncensored!

When we heard the dolls — yes, dolls! Let's face it, "action figures" have kung fu grip; these toys come with outfits — based on the hit Quentin Tarantino film were being discontinued, we were bummed.

But the one silver lining we saw in this playbook was that people clever enough to have snagged them early were going to make a mint on eBay!

Well, it turns out we were wrong, because the controversy has proved too much for eBay, who banned the figures.

eBay, where you can purchase dead animals, Glenn Beck's urine, and yes- even a woman's virginity. But these toys were too much?

OK, we're sorry, but the whole point is that he's a hero! That's who toys get made of! He's a hero that goes from being a slave to leading a revolution! He's an American Spartacus!

You know who else was a slave? Darth Vader! Try banning all the toys made of him!

We are just plain tired of having to defend a movie about a character who fights slavery! It's insane!

Django Unchained Action Figures Discontinued!

Django Unchained Action Figures Discontinued

We told you about the controversy behind the Django Unchained Action Figures.

Rev. Al Sharpton's Nation Action Network and others condemned the dolls as racially insensitive due to their portrayal of slaves.

Despite the facts that the collectibles had cloth clothing, almost no articulation, and were retailing for the price of an XBox, Sharpton said the figures were directed at children.

Well, it seems the Weinstein Company is tired of the controversy over the Quentin Tarantino flick; they have ordered the line discontinued.

So if you wanted to relive the exciting scene where Jamie Foxx and Christophe Waltz stay in their boxes on a shelf and appreciate in value, you're out of luck.

Of course, there are still a few left out there if you have to have one- last seen nearing the $1000 price range!

Django Unchained Action Figures Under Fire

Django Unchained can't cut a break!

The controversial Quentin Tarantino film has been making waves for it's subject matter and language, but now, it's the actions figures inspired by the flick that are outraging Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network.

The Black activist group is asking for a national boycott of the 10-doll line of Django characters being sold on Amazon for a cool $299.

Rev. K.W. Tullos, NAC's Los Angeles president, said:

The Avengers Action Figures Are Insanely Realistic!

The Avengers action figures

Yes! Those are action figures, not the actual cast of The Avengers!

A company called Hot Toys has produced the most realistic toys ever with their most recent line of figurines from the Marvel movie.

We're sure any fan would be thrilled to have one of these bad boys for their collection, but they won't be thrilled by the price.

The Thor figurine, for example, costs $200! His brother Loki, a model which hasn't been released yet, will cost about $10 more too!

Considering the film has already made a billion dollars at the box office, we have a feeling people won't mind dropping a couple Benjamins on these collectibles. Those who can't afford to make the purchase are in luck though!

The company is holding a contest in which a winner will receive an Avengers prize pack! Click here for details and check out more pics of the very incredibly detailed figurines (below)!

Toy Company Now Offering Action Figures That Will Look Just Like You

Filed under: Retail TherapyStuff 4 Kidz

toy-company-offers-personalized-action-figures.jpg

This is a liiiiittle bit creepy.

And also, super amazing. Right??

The UK novelty/toy company Firebox is now offering "personalized action figures," which will be created by taking your photos and turning them into a 3D printed superhero head to your likeness.

You can choose from five bodies (weird), including Batman, Batgirl, Superman, The Joker, and Wonder Woman.

The company's website describe the dolls, er, action figures like this:

"Using advanced 3-D printing technology your photographs will be turned into a fully-formed 3-D version of your noggin – including eye color, skin tone, hair style (or as close as possible) and hair color. Accurate? It'll be like looking in a teaspoon."

So, exactly how much would getting an action figure that looks just like you cost? $127.

Yikes. Might be a little pricey for some.

Then, again, having your head on Batman/Wonder Woman's body seems priceless to us.

The Rock Is Not Afraid To Admit He Likes To Play With Toys

The Rock action figures

No sexually perverted pun here, we literally mean toys. Action figures to be more specific.

Last week we couldn't help but gush over Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's HIGHlariousness during a casual interview, but now we have a new reason to idolize him — he's still in touch with his inner child!

In another casual interview discussing his role as Roadblock in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the former wrestler revealed his love for action figures as a child 21-year-old man!

Yes! Not only is he playing a G.I. Joe, but the Rock is not afraid to admit he played with them as a kid!

This nerdy conversation is so cute we'll just let you read it in full. Check it out below!
