On Saturday, thousands of protestors - including lawmakers, politicians, civil rights and trade union leaders - marched in support of Western Sahara through Madrid, in protest of the recent Moroccan aggression in the former Spanish colony in northwestern Africa, and actor Javier Bardem was spotted (above) joining the activist movement, along with his mother Pilar and brother Carlos!

Amazing!

We're so thrilled to see him standing up for what he believes in!

Thanks for taking a stand, bb! You have our full support!

Gays Earn Guiness World Record Title For Longest Continuous Kiss!

Oh hells to the YES!

New Jersey college students Matt Daley and Bobby Canciello broke the Guinness World Record over the weekend for longest continuous kiss, clocking in at 33 hours of non-stop, homolicious saliva swapping!

According to the rules, the two - who are apparently just friends - were required to stay standing and in a public venue with no breaks or trips to the bathroom, and as you can see from the stream (above), they were surrounded by various friends and supporters the entire time in their tent, set up on the campus of the College of New Jersey!

Amazing!

The two activists apparently trained by developing hand signals to communicate with each other, and even arranged a nutrition regimen - all in the name of the Our Lips Are Sealed campaign!

Daley explained:

“This kiss isn’t about sexual or romantic expression between two lovers. We’re not required to make-out, use our tongues, or any of that nonsense. It’s all really simple and innocent; it’s a kiss between two men, two friends. Hopefully, others will see this and begin to think that it’s okay to kiss your closest friends Hello and Goodbye, to let them know in other ways that you care and are ready to face the obstacles life throws your way together, when the words refuse to surface in our voices.”

Click ahead to the 43 minute mark to see them beat the record! It's truly an amazing moment!

Congratulations, boys!

The gay community is so proud of your amazing accomplishment!

Ten Year Old Gay Rights Activist To Be The Grand Marshal Of Gay Pride Parade!

Amazing. What a courageous and smart young man!

Remember Will Phillips?

He was the ten year old who made headlines after he refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance until gay, lesbian, and transgender people have the same rights as everyone else!

Phillips has made such an impact in the fight for equal rights that he's been chosen as the grand marshal of the Northwest Arkansas Gay Pride Parade this Saturday! Click above to see the news story!

We're so proud of him! It's truly inspirational to see a child with such an amazing and insightful understanding of a struggle that many adults don't even attempt to make sense of!

Congratulations, Will! We think you're going to do a great job!

Danny Glover Booed At Utah State Graduation!

wenn2783203__opt.jpg

It's unfortunate that people had to make this about him, and not the young people's graduation.

Actor Danny Glover, who has caused a bit of controversy as of late for his friendship with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, his opinions on climate change and activism in protests for the working class, was invited to be the keynote speaker at the Utah State University graduation ceremony. This apparently didn't go over too well with some people, who chose to attend the event for the sole purpose of booing the actor!

Ick!

The biggest source of disruption allegeding came when Glover failed to put his hand over his heart during the color guard's flag ceremony, which led to boos from the audience!

Glover later explained:

"I was listening to the national anthem and paying attention. I probably wasn't the only one in there who didn't put a hand over their heart. People have problems sometimes with what I believe and who I talk to. I try to respect people, honor them."

Luckily, the haters were for the most part drowned out by the cheers from families of graduating students and Glover supporters.

We're glad that he chose to keep the focus on his job as keynote speaker and not be affected by the dramz! We may not always agree with him, but we applaud his attitude!

These images just warm our heart.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie headed to Bosnia yesterday to raise awareness of the people who are unable to return to their homes even though the Bosnian war has been over for 15 years!

Good work!

Hayden Panettiere and her clueless looking boxer boyfriend Wladimir Klotschko were spotted protesting the annual dolphin hunt in the Japanese fishing town of Taiji.

Apparently their presence along with other environmental activists wasn't well-received in the village and they were rejected for a meeting with the mayor.

Better luck next time! We don't agree with it at all, but the residents consider the dolphin hunt "a proud legacy," and it's bound to be difficult to break!

Sad.

Update! Lesbian Teen Stands Her Ground Despite School Board Revoking Prom!!

captjb1.jpg

What a brave girl!!

We reported earlier that a Mississippi county school board cancelled prom for an entire high school after a lesbian student attempted to fight a rule that banned her from bringing her girlfriend to the dance.

The student, Constance McMillen, returned to school today for the first time since the announcement, and despite backlash from her peers, is holding her ground!!

McMillen says:

"My daddy told me that I needed to show them that I'm still proud of who I am. The fact that this will help people later on, that's what's helping me to go on. Somebody said, 'Thanks for ruining my senior year.' I guess they would rather do that than what's right, what's constitutionally correct. It's a small town in Mississippi, and it's run by an older generation with money. Most of them are more conservative and they don't agree with it."

Poor thing!!

She seems like such a smart, well-adjusted young woman with a good head on her shoulders!!

Daryl Presgraves, spokesman for the advocacy group Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education network, says:

"A lot of schools actually react rather than do the research and find out what the rights of these students are. It sends a message that these students shouldn't be treated the same."

So unfair and sad.

We said it before, but hang in there, Constance!!

We know how hard this must be for you, but by holding your head up high and not backing down, you are no doubt inspiring TONS of gay kids everywhere to believe in who they are!!

We think you're a real hero!!
